Personally I think both won't get a 3rd game and will be dead rookies. For those that don't have Coffield he could be back as early as this week and is still $124k
Correcting Coffield instead of ZReid because ZReid was meant to be playing during the byes 😂

Coffield definitely is not an automatic inclusion.
Freijah, Bramble and O'Donnell all playing well.
Plus, he makes Reid look (almost!) durable.

Surely he comes back through the VFL?

Presenting the rare rookie gull. If he plays full games, he'll rack up the numbers.

Why give him the debut game? He's either ready or not ready.
You can't judge him for such a short time on the field in his last game - that's extremely rough
Especially when he literally laid a game saving tackle in the ten minutes he got

There is a youngster at Geelong who Dwayne Russell is keen to follow.

Lawson Humphries is the yet-to-debut player who the Cats believe has a bright future ahead and has been named as emergency for Friday night’s clash with Carlton.

The 21-year-old was selected by the Cats with Pick 53 in the 2023 draft and Russell suggests footy followers should put his name in their diaries.

“Keep your eye on Geelong’s selection in the next couple of weeks,” he said on SEN’s Dwayne’s World.

“I’m told that Lawson Humphries will get a game between now and the end of the year.

“He’s that good that once he gets in he won’t be out again. That’s how good the raps are on Lawson Humphries.

“Put that name in your diary and when he gets in we’ll all have a look at him because there his a lot of excitement at the Cattery about Lawson.”
:eyes: Poster whose only real contributions over the years is talking about Humphries, in a fashion that makes it appear he knows him or someone close is now suggesting a debut this week.

Might be worth heading down to Coles on Saturday morning CatToTheFuture 😉

Context:

Basically, <redacted poster tags> and <redacted> were some of the first on the Humphries bandwagon

(no shade to anyone else if you were too, feel free to @ me if you were. The more the merrier!!)

Somewhere along the way the bandwagon became a train, and then somewhere after that we decided to bring Doritos to the train.

It's now called the Doritos express, and Lawson has aptly been nicknamed 'Dorito' as a result.

Hopefully, when he goes down as a 200+ game legend of the club we can all look back on that time we named a young man after a corn chip brand for no real reason.

It'll be the stuff of BigFooty legend.
