I truely never realised how good Cerra was until this game. This is what I saw in some Oppo players and often wondered how come we don’t have enough of these fit, strong, powerful players. Cerra just kept going hard at it all night, right to the end of the match. It was an enormous effort. So rapped that we now have players like him and Hewett.

As I've said often - and loudly - those two change our midfield dramatically, hugely!

And take the heat, mentally and physically, off Crippa.

(even without the mighty Sammy Walsh out there)

h/t to Matthew Kennedy too - from zero to hero overnight....

Let's just calm down a little Carlton media. One swallow is by no means a summer. Great win but let's not forget its 1 rnd and runner up premiers next week and 18 odd after that

It's a guernsey presentation.

Happens every year with new players & it's nothing new.

Kennedy played to save his career last year. Seems he's playing now like he knows he belongs.
He always belonged. Just a matter of shake off injuries to have some continuity and started to have that.
It also helps we finally have a coaching group that have a clue and have players playing where they should be and back them in.
Teague was a nice guy but had no clue as a head coach. It been like having no senior coach for last few seasons and just one guy with the title but really we just had a bunch of assistant coaches that all thought a bit too much the same to challenge each other from what they were trying and failing at as a coaching group. Now we have a head coach and it shows. Everyone knows what is expected and what their role is and will be backed in as long as they put in.

Couldn't agree more.

Finally caught up with replay of last quarter.
O man, that was spine tingling stuff.
Pity I could not go on the night.
Missed a special moment for the club.

About to watch it for the 8th time.

Just saw this on the Tigers Board :laughv1:

Watched the replay of the last quarter last night. In hindsight it actually isn't that tense because we absolutely DOMINATE them in that quarter. We literally score at will. But in the moment, going from 20 down to 20 up was one of the most magical things i've ever experienced. It was truly magnificent.

Question.
In the crowd I saw Walsh and Paddy Down sitting next to each other.
Whom was shorter guy next to Dow?
I just could not match the face with one of our shorter players.
Maybe Carroll that I not seen enough to pick him out easily in a crowd???

Thought it was Philp.

Vossy has come in and set a style of football that is heavily set and demanded on contested and defensive pressure, entire buy in from everyone…

What a difference it makes having an entire new coaching group that are actually competent with the way the modern game is played, by setting standards and structures to compete and play a brand of footy that’s required in playing finals and beyond…

Tim Clarke whom i think deserves a massive pat on the back already with the way he has the midfield preforming, really is chalk and cheese compared with the previous group of coaches…

First press conference back last year, Vossy was asked would the game plan be around defence or offence?
He could not have nailed the answer better by making it clear that contested footy was the cornerstone of everything. Could not have said it better and rammed the point home in pre-season and it clear as day when you watch that is where everything starts.
The off-season purge and then pre-season work could not have been more to my liking.
It was weird back then listening to some people worried about Voss and so hell bent on other names.
Thank **** we finally have the right man for the job for our club.
I think even those that were against his appointment back then can finally see the light.
It is so refreshing as a member to see where we are after such a dark period.

I was one that had the preference of Lyon or Clarkson at the time last year because both although different styles in ways were proven coaches that demanded non negotiables…

Once Vossy was announced i was right on board hoping that the decision would be the right call, and that he and the assistants have us playing a brand all of us have been craving…

Small sample size but i could not be happier with the way we are looking, with plenty of improvement & natural growth to come the more the boys get to play together…

Oh I think I just found it. LOB runs straight at the ball on the ground. Doesn't quite get there in time. The Richmond bloke knocks it to the left past LOB.

Absolutely crapped his pants????

Hahahahahahaha!!!

That is genuinely hilarious.

I thought he'd be camped under a high ball and duck his head or something. That is pathetic - by you.

If you're going to slag someone off for a specific reason have a specific example to back it up or retract your criticism. Don't tell fairy tales.

I will criticise Plowman for his poor decisions / disposal but I can and will back that up as much as you like.

LOB is a winger - the easiest laziest dimwit thing to do is to tell fairy tales about a lighter outside player crapping his pants and being a coward.

What a joke.
It is my interpretation of the event. I can respect that you see it different. Just understand that others may not always agree with you. Also just to add, when your at the game and can see it unfold, at times things seem different to seeing it just on a TV screen.
