Perfect thing about Clarry now is that Trac is having bigger influence so if you can somewhat curb him it will be a positive for your team. Means Piggy can go about and do whatever he wants.
Tagging either is pointless. The other will just dominate as Clarry did last night

Also can someone try and explain why Piggy is only in 32% of teams?
I went with three big dogs plus Neale, decided to leave out Oliver as I looked at past history and matchups and decided that he was the most likely of the four to start quietly/have a stinker and be available for around 550-600k. I also felt watching the preseason that the new HTB interpretation would suit Touk and Steele. Hasn’t worked out that way but you can’t get everything right, I still think they all average around 120-125 so it’s not going to be a season killer if you took Steele over Oliver.

You guys are forgetting something about Piggy.

He will score 200 against my mob on Thursday night.

He's in ominous form mate, very likely to post some massive scores once the Dees get to the weaker sides.

I took Oliver, Steele and Macrae, had to leave one out which was Touk.

I completely understand but Clarry had gone 122 and then 123 as an average over the previous two seasons, he's the safest mid premo bar Macca by the length of the flemington straight.

Only in 1 out of every 3 teams is astounding to me. 112, 121, 146 to start the year and Trac to get the tag if it comes.

I know we're not actually arguing here...😁

...but despite his start (one could argue that most premo mids will score big v. Ess), coming into this week he was the 13th (14th if we count a certain D/M) ranked mid for scoring.

Pretty amazing.

For those worrying about de boer tagging Touk
I think it’s more likely he goes to Rowell who would be a much easier player to tag. He gets most of his touches inside and round 1 showed when he gets off the chain he’s the one who wins them games?

I’m more worried he goes to Rowell then Touk

Hopefully though like last week he just sits forward clogging up their list
Deboer will tag Will Powell

Deboers days of tagging elite mids are gone

Stop his seagull role

Clearly this guy has no idea 🙄

FWIW I think Jackson Davey's content is really good and especially helpful for the coaches for whom the learning curve is still very steep. By the end of any round you could go through the BF gameday thread and find 300+ comments of a similar ilk. It boils down to passion for our great game largely...

Just Rowell and Cogs in the first one – more interested in deathriding Miller and Whitfault

ok - catch up day!

First game:
  • Whitfield - justify why I've kept you!
  • Cogs - keep working towards your ton
  • Rowell - get back to pigging it :D

Let's get through this first Saturday game and then we'll see with the subsequent games

Pretty much where I am at. One game at a time. Huge game for me.

Touk C
Jelly
Whitfield
Coniglio

Will make or break my overall ranking and cash league match ups. Looking for 560+
