Who against? Was it Wet Toast? I hope so! All I remember was sitting near the cheat squad being blinded by the bloody sun..

Interesting to see the reports of Saints chasing that ex Essendon Irish bloke ( connor mckenna?) who is also reportedly quick… Ross certainly likes the speedy types. I wander how Hind would have faired under Ross Lyon?

He was alright, very very fast but had some disposal issues.
No worse than some of the current ones.
When Lovett destructed, Peake pretty much got the role that Lovett was meant to have.

My best memory of him was at a Frankston Auskick clinic.
While most of the team were busy standing round trying to look cool, and impress the kid's big sisters, Peaky was out on the ground with a group of the more advanced kids. He'd kick it long, all the kids would be off after the ball, then he'd sprint up through the pack and battle them for the ball, wacking it along the ground and stuff ( he always let them get it lol ). He looked like he was having great fun.
Haha, that's what I do for the GAA kids over here. Kids just want to compete and fight off the grown ups...they get a proper buzz off it. It's how my son finally got rid of his front two baby teeth...blood everywhere, he was king for the day.

I hate to seem insensitive, but AFL is a "competition", as most sports are. You're in the wrong business if you think you won't get sacked. Very few reach the high performance required to be champions.

It's really the media who are sick, relentless in desperate persuit for a sensational headline. It's no longer the "news" we're delivered, rather a bunch of morons' inflated opinions.

I'm sorry but this whole poor Ratts thing is just ridiculous. The bloke gets around a 300k payout that's what most of us earn over three years or more. It's a ruthless industry and you need to be successful, it's not like some random just decided to sack him there was a review that clearly identified he was underperforming just like Lade.

Lade would do well to take a look at his own performance rather than shift the blame to the administration.

The AFLCA aren't saying that coaches shouldn't be sacked, they're just trying to squeeze more money out of the AFL when it does happen. Standard union stuff, nothing to see here really.

If the AFLCA were really concerned they should be insisting that every coach have regular psych sessions to offload and debrief.

Even psychologists have to have their own therapy sessions.

No sympathy for any of the coaches or players that lose their job. This happens to thousands of people in the every day world. The only difference is its not reported on.

This is an elite level environment were you are judged on your output and results. If you don't like the pressure then looks for something different that isn't in the public eye.

It's pretty simple really.

Seems strange that all the talk I’ve heard is Saints after McKenna, he even toured Moorabbin yet Brisbane are in the box seat to land him apparently?
No reason given for why Bris are leading too. Only connection is Joe Daniher? Hope he chooses us. I'd be very happy if we got him.

there was an article saying port favourites too...

maybe brisbane are offering more money, thinks they are better chance of contending, he went back to win a GAA premiership now he's done that and wants an AFL one

I see Connor Blakely could be picked up , by the look's Ross Lyon has already been talking with him , he has been on the outer since Ross left - is he any good , well Ross should know.
2018 and 2017 averaged 24 touches a game playing as a halfback.
I haven't watched him play

According to the local expert Dard Ball Get he's a spud

Think he's going to the gold coast?

Please no. I thought we were moving away from picking up below average role players who are over 25
