This kid has some excellent traits. Tap work looks solid and seems useful once the ball hits the deck. He will need to put on some serious size, so you’d have to imagine he’s min 2-3 years away from being able to play seniors.

Will be interesting how they manage Ruck time between Heath and Dodson at Sandy. Even more intriguing if they pickup Boyd.

Love his quick hands, reflexes and positioning. He also seems to remain calm in the contest. Excellent traits for a tall young fella.

Why?

As our back up ruck to come in you want him playing with mids that that he might be rucking to if he ever has to fill in for Marshall.
He needs it...and the mids need it build connection.


If you were going to outsource one of rucks you would imagine it would be the young Dodson.

I suspect Boyd will be a traveling/held over emergency quite often, with Heath/Keeler occasionally getting that gig as well. Can't see all 4 backup and developing rucks lining up for Sandy much.

Rekon Boyd will play most games in the seniors, assuming he performs.

Keeler seemingly going to focus more on KPF role with ruckwork being secondary.

Dodson and Heath will split ruck duties at Sandy.
