Lamb on Trade Radio now:

  • Unequivocally ruled out trading Harmes
  • Grundy is close, but relies on some moving parts
  • Basically laughed at the idea of 13 and future first for Jackson
  • Doubled downed on Pickett – had a dig at Cornes for calling him a liar
  • Believes Bedford is worth more than GWS's pick 43
  • Really happy for Hunt
  • No talks on Tomlinson atm, but club have said they're open to the move
  • Melksham and Hibberd getting new deals
  • Will look to move up draft board again

Decent interview. Not real happy with the 'we don't want to make many changes to the list' comment and justification for keeping Melk.

Pumped up Disco multiple times. Reading between the lines, I reckon they have him earmarked for a KPD role next year with Petty moving forward.

So because everyone was a draft pick once our trading over the last 5 years had no impact on us winning the flag?

This is one of your best takes yet
As Grundy was once a first round pick, I'm glad to see we are once again looking to the top end of the draft to strengthen our list.

Hopefully we get Schache as well now that I remember he was pick 2 back in the day.

With Hunt and Bedford going out I'm fine with keeping Melk for depth.

When we are talking depth we better be talking behind Laurie and Chandler.

Yeah, agree with that. I want him at the very back of the line but don't really see the point in turfing him if it just means we're only going to fill the list spot with a fourth round selection.

2023 is Disco time.

His improvement has been pretty rapid and impressive.

If he works out and becomes a regular in our best 22 every chance he could be my favourite player.

I saw enough on debut to believe that to be the case. Not often a rookie listed player making his debut looks like hes played 50-100 games already like Turner did.

.All reasonable.
I tend to look for elite traits moreso unless it's a constant theme of errors you see. I'm willing to forgive the occasional howler which he's prone to coz of the things he can do that others can't.
yeah 100%. the hardest skill is to find the ball. And he has proven that he can impact games by finding the ball at all levels.

Some good melts on the Flag(less)mantle board already

Haha you're not wrong. Most of them seriously seem to think it's entirely unreasonable to want a top 10 pick included in a deal for a no.3 pick who won the rising star in a premiership side last year.

Also fascinating that a couple of commenters think they're genuinely going to deny Lobb a trade. Surely it's a million to one they force Lobb to stay - they just want to get the Jackson deal done first so we can't eye off whatever pick they get.

They are probably just having a hard time getting over the Hogan deal after we stuck it in them. Id probably feel the same if I was them.

"Fremantle have walked away from the Jackson trade."

I hope we are talking to West Coast, get them to move back from pick 2 to somewhere in the top 10. On trade that to us and we swap first round picks next year. Done deal.
