Of those three Clark was the only one who active sought a trade away from his club and none of them were on the money that Lobb is on/is seeking to get.

Yes I am highlighting that clubs routinely trade players regardless of their wishes, and think it is unrealistic to expect high end loyalty in that environment. Both sides so what is best for themselves.

For me salary is not so important, but I expect most would think Acres is overpaid. And like Lobb, his contract is likely to match the contract he was on when we poached him.

And yes, Lobb would be trying to get the best contract he can get.

I think this Board has some posters over reacting about this. Players get traded and are poached all the time. Aish, Acres and Clark were all traded while in contract and the first two at the Club's initiative not their own. Croad was traded with virtually no input to the decision.

Lobb either;

• gets traded in a decent multi year contract for lower trade value for us because he will be out of contract.
• stays on a significantly reduced contract for 1-2 years.
• persuades the club he is critical to us for a long-term deal matching what other clubs are offering.

All of the above was going to be speculated on regardless. Pretty normal stuff.

Lobb is still contracted till the end of 2023. So we can still get a decent trade value if we trade him at the end of this year.

I have liked the look of Schlensog. He is very versatile .Can play forward or back. Has played in
the ruck.A good size and mobile.
A good reliable mark and reads the play well.
Strom has been a better than average player for Souths for a long period now. A big strong wing man that is a great mark, reads the play well. Has played various roles at Souths.
Going to be interesting to see whether they take either or both .

Super ideally he comes on like said steam train, and were the ones holding someone over the barrel to get him back east at the end of next year, an extra first round pick would just complete the edges of this team we could take an elite small fwd with one and best mid with the other

The time frame for drafting that brand of rookie is past.

We have played it well so far. If Prowse stinks it up or can’t get on the park again due to injuries GWS will become a more desperate buyer. They can no longer go back to the old well that is Mumford.

Means we get decent trade value - realistically a late first value (or something like 2022 2nd and an upgrade of our 2023 3rd). Strom may be considered as a stop gap in the event Rory leaves.

Doesn’t Lobb still have 2 seasons with us? Any trade with a year left gets you a high second, maybe sneak into firsts (dependant on his pea shaped heart delivering a decent season)
