Like him as a player, lots of talent, huge potential. Hard edge as you say.

Seems to be the off field stuff holding him back. Some times these blokes with "troubled pasts" get their s**t together.

Hard to judge from a distance.
Unfortunately our beautiful Gold Coast is not known as a place for blokes to get their shit together!! Actually quite the opposite :p

Seems as though our plan is to take the one high pick to the draft and move the rest, similar to last year with Mac Andrew. Personally I hope we select Olli hollands, not just the fact we can team the brothers up but reckon he will become a very good player. Can play wing or half back or in the middle. Has a really high footy IQ and neat skills. Not rated as high as pick 5 but wouldn't bother me if we called his name out there. The opportunity to team up with his brother would help the go home factor and maybe won't need to bust the salary cap when he re-signs.
I guess it depends how highly we rate Busslinger and/or how much we want a defender.

I agree with you about taking Hollands. Could even slide our pick back a bit and get him 10-15.

I’d be happy to bring in Narkle from
cats.. he is something our midfield lacks. Speed and aggression

If he a delisted free agent his contract would be peanuts

Really baffles me why Narkle hasn't been getting a run. Rate his game highly. Knows how to win the ball from the contest too

Afl.exclusive on insta going with sexton gaining interest from several Vic clubs with essendon leading the way. He's one that I actually wouldn't mind keeping, maybe extend his contract and smooth it over.
Bowes to Brisbane makes sense as pick 7 would be very handy for the Dunkley trade. Not sure if bowes would be overly keen on Brisbane with ashcroft and Dunkley coming into the midfield.

I think Geelong makes the most sense for him. I personally hope it doesn't go that way because I hate Geelong and love Jack. But for a career move thats what he should be aiming for

Nope. Geelong ain’t a good fit.
Already dumped Narkle.
Parfitt and Menegola can’t get a game.
They got a few young guys coming through too
Sam Simpson and cooper stevens.
He’d be best going to Saints or Essendon
That’s if he wants game time.

SUNS EYE BRISBANE FORWARD

GOLD Coast is interested in Brisbane's out-of-contract small forward Tom Berry.

Berry, the younger brother of Lions star Jarrod, is out of contract and has struggled to break into the Lions' team consistently this season, playing only three games in 2022.

The Lions have offered Berry a contract but he remains unsigned and has gathered interest from the Suns.
The Suns will lose gun small forward Izak Rankine to Adelaide but have also been in the market for a pressure player, with Berry's speed and tenacity a key part of his game.

Berry has played 20 games for the Lions since being drafted by the club at the end of 2019.

Clubs have been looking at the Lions' depth players this season, with Deven Robertson having interest through the year but breaking back into the senior team for its finals series. – Callum Twomey

I really like the idea of picking up Tom Berry. As others have pointed out, he's a bit of a hard nut that will bring the kind of physicality that we need to make the next step in our progression. He's 22 years old which is a big plus meaning he's about to enter the good years of his career and spending four years in a successful Brisbane system where he was stuck behind some very good small forwards like Charlie Cameron, Lincoln McCarthy, Cam Rayner and Zac Bailey should mean Berry will be very hungry to cement a place in our forward line. He also has genuine speed and very clean gathering skills below the knees which is an aspect of his small forward craft that I really like. Seems to have good potential and has already lived in Queensland for several years so there won't be any adjusting to the conditions situations playing out.

Overall I think picking up Tom Berry would be a good acquisition for us and it's unlikely that we'll have to pay much to get him.

Not excited about T Berry. Cheap depth - maybe. Best 22? I seriously doubt. 4 years in a system. Nowhere near Holman type output. IMO, close to de-list on Lions list.

No stat pops out, quite contrary. Unless he got some crazy pressure stats I don't see it. Holman and even Macpherson are killing it compared to him.

3 games in 2022 - 6.0 disposals , 2.3 tackles
11 games in 2021 - 3.4 disposals average 1.8 tackle
