Is it? Giants seem to have more picks than everyone every year, and all they do is draft talent then have to trade that player in 2-4 years.
Cap space is the gold standard now.
To pay Rowell and Anderson?

Should already be able to afford them there’s only 2 A graders on our list
Touk and king

If your a top team.. yeah cap space is great if u have gun top end players wanting to come to u..

For the Suns all we can attract is fringe 22 talent.. don’t need cap space for junk

Draft capital is the new gold of trading

Can use picks to get to the top of the board.

Can use picks to bring in established players

Use picks for future picks.

Could use 12 and 15 and 18 to try get picks 3 or 4 or 5 etc

🤷🏽‍♂️
Sounds good but do the teams with those picks want to swap 4/5 for 15 and 18?

You left out 12

I’d definitely look at trading out pick 3. 4 or 5 etc
if I was a manager to get picks 12 15 and 18

U get 3 stabs at it.

For clubs like North hawks Essendon St kilda
They need more talent on there list.

Maybe, but on the draft board the talk is it's a weak draft. Might be better to take a top 5 kid and try again next year. Much more risk involved with picks in the teens.

If North end up with pick 2 they might do it.

So with the Cats and Lions pick swap the cats don't appear to have any future picks to give us except their future 1st.

So I'm thinking we are getting a future 1st from Cats and sending back futures to them for 2nd and 3rd 2023 picks.

Pies get Henry for 25 and maybe some late pick we have left.

Maybe the AFL told Geelong they need to send us a future first for Bowes and 7.
Let the death ride commence!!! (if it happens)
In theory (according to rules), Cats are now not allowed to trade future 1st unless they get AFL exemption (as they will get I bet).

do we have many free rookie spots?
It looks like 4 cat A.

List concessions should stay the same as reported -> 38 senior + 9 cat A + 2 cat B

cat A 5
Casboult, Uwland, Brock, Moyle, Faulkhead
Tsitas un-signed, could Moyle be promoted to senior list?

cat B
un-signed Ace, can Ace stay on as cat B or does he have to be put on cat A or senior list?

senior 33
in Long, Berry
out Corbett, Rankine, Bowes, Fiorini, Sharp
Constable and Markov un-signed
