Morning all.
Was chatting to fellow who knows way more about NAB footy than I do, but he did say that there was a suggestion around the scouts that Max Gruzewski could slide down to a late second / early third pick.

There maybe a chance we trade our pick #45 and a couple of future 3rd's (currently #43 and #45) to move up and swap with GWS for pick #31.

That still leaves us currently 7, 22, 26, 56, 61, 63 and 65 for 2023.

MG is seen (according to this chap - I have never seen him play so I have no idea) as a key position FWD / DEF and is already a decent height and weight.
There is a slight concern about a knee injury still niggling, and that's why he has slid down a bit apparently.

He would be a logical replacement for Levi and Rory plus support for Sarge in 2023 onwards.

No idea if it's genuine or idle scout talk - but it makes sense I guess.

Honestly don't have a clue who our List Management will take, but guaranteed some of us will be OK with it and some of us will rubbish the Club for next 3-4 yrs because of it...beauty (or should I say, a draft choice) is in the eye of the beholder....

No idea from me, but there is a Draft Rumours thread on the draft board with plenty of the draft people checking in.
Put it on there, see what they think about trading up for Max.

In general, would not be surpised if we do some more trades during the draft. If someone we really like is falling, do have the picks to trade for them. Especially a bigger body defender who can take the list spot from Rory.

pretty sure thats who is eligible, not who they nominated. Given Fox has Keeler from crows, but it was clearly announced they didn't nominate him

I'd do their first this year and the two F1's if we thought Hollands would still be there.

I'd actually still consider it anyway. With 3 first's next year (Our's, Melb's, Freo') we could probably trade up above a bid on Walters. If either Melbourne or Freo drop off it might even be enough to get to pick 1.
