This bloke just had his 31st birthday a few days ago, hasn't played a full 22 game season since 2015, and is not a "must have" player for the Suns.

We have Collins Ballard Budarick Bowes Lemmens Burgess Farrar Lukosius Weller Markov Powell Graham and even Atkins

So why do we need him?

Who's he going to replace to get a game.?
Let me guess a 4 year contract as well

If the Hartlett rumour is correct then I’m done, if everyone on this forum can see he’s cooked then the people in charge of the club are morons if they think he’s anything more than another Atkins.
Sack em all and put eppo67 and thurls64 in charge of the club with Mr Bods and myself to act as b*tch slappers to tell some home truths starting with sack Dew and his cronies, change the worst strip on the league and if you don’t want to be here or are looking for a retirement top up then fu** off .
I think everyone is being pretty harsh on Hartlett. He would come as a free agent, is a physical, long kicking halfback leader who is always well liked and considered a great behind the scenes popular unifying clubman.

The problem with Atkins was bizarrely giving him a 4year contract lol.

If Hartlett comes to you on a shorter contract it’s literally a no lose scenario.

If he is a great clubman wouldn’t you guys be super disappointed to see him go? Him not leaving Port is a win/win for both our clubs

If I worked in disability and did not want to whipe someone ass I wouldn't not be qualified for the job

So how do players like Tim Kelly, Bailey Smith, Archie Perkins are deemed qualified when they do not want to leave their home state play in your local competition.

Main point is Fremantle are gonna lose a cry baby Victorian witch is a shock to no one as he was deemed a flight risk in 2017 when they drafted him. Cerra should not be in the AFL. How is it fair that Fremantle and very very very likley Gold Coast with Ben King put 4 years of hard to work to not see the best years because they couldn't handle living away from mummy.

Totally agree am very concerned with Ben King.
If he doesn't sign over summer the jungle drums will be beating very loud.

We have learnt this far too often at our club. We are treated by big teams as a developing and training camp ready for them to poach as they hit their prime.

The one I’ll never forgive is Richmond and Lynch for multiple reasons. 1. He was our skipper. Why listen to your skipper who is trying to get you to commit and stay if your leaving yourself? 2. Richmond- how it fair that a team that has won a flag then finish minor premiers can just come in and poach someone who at the time was our best player especially in a team that was struggling 3. Richmond didn’t need to give up anything for him. 4. Another case of big teams flexing their muscles over little clubs

Yep. Then have your other captain walk out as well with a year to go. So many mostly Vic Meteo players can't do interstate Gunston, Leaver left as soon as the plan landed. Tom Boyd for different reasons, Jye Cardwell and Jackson Healty got to tell GWS what club they wanted to go to.

Not being biased I wasn't a fan of how Cam McCarthy came to Freo thought he was a sook as well.

But most of the time it is non Victorian clubs getting hit the hardest

I would prefer Hartlett over Bowes in that backline role. Bowes struggling down there and definately lost motivation/confidence later in the year.

We all want to see Bowes in the midfield, needs to man up and tell Dewy "hey look, how about recruiting 2-3 senior defenders and i can go play my best position in the mids"

agree with this so hard, in the nba you can be traded across state with no warning during a game while sitting on the bench, in soccer most premier leauge teams are made up of overseas players, but in our game apparently it’s impossible for players to play in a different state for more then two years without being dragged home

Some posters on our board think it’s a done deal luke dunstan is going up to you guys.

Imagine Messi not wanting to leave Argentina or Ben Simmons 🤮 yea he could go pick 1 in the NBA but can't handle leaving Melbourne

Bowes to continue to play back pocket then..
Unless he plans to play Bowes on ball and Dunstan in the back pocket 🤣🤷‍♂️
My thoughts exactly; if we get any inside mid it has to be an A grader or close to in that 24-28yo range. Parker, Guthrie, M. Crouch (Not recently) a few for example

Ruined Ainsworth, Bowes & Brodie's development. Their ceiling gets lower and lower every year
