Well definitely a different trade period for us. Humphrey looks a good kid and looks tough. I like Long I think he will be best 22 for us. I like that we have tried to add some mongrel to the team.

Past trade periods we have been super active and have had below average years. Hopefully next year is the opposite.

And only 1 x top 10 kid coming out of contract in 2yrs. Eases future salary cap pressures.

I think if you looked back at our future pic swaps history you would be horrified at what we’ve given up versus what we have gained. Truthfully, I’m actually surprised that the club allows the trades team to even dabble in future pics.

No clubs will be participating in the pre-season draft.
So, we had to upgrade yesterday 2 rookies to senior list to satisfy 3 draft selections rule. Wondering who it was. It could Casboult, Tsitas as we will need senior spots next year and both could be done after 2023.

It also means that any potential mature players (Anderson, Blakely,...) will be drafted as rookies either today or in SSP. We will probably leave 1-2 spots open for SSP and have several players train with us as last year.

Tsitas being on a senior list would be an indictment on the club. When you look up 'list clogger' in the urban dictionary there is a picture of that bloke.

Casboult and Tsitas would help opening up senior spots needed next year for academy kids. Otherwise, it will have to be someone like Day or Sexton, Fiorini who apparently were going to spread their contract over a couple of years.

Tom Nicholls was accused of trickle down banging for a while but Sam Day said hold my beer, what is he doing?

My guess we draft today Anderson and Johnston (NT academy) and possibly Blakely and leave 2 cat A spots open for SSP.

No Jed Anderson surprised me. 2 rookie cat A spots left open for SSP, MSD.

Welcome

Lloyd Rookie Cat B - 1 year?

Connor Rookie - 1 year

Jake Rookie - 1 year

Beats having academy developments like Murtagh Conroy types

Our vfl should play finals again and will be fun to watch
I guess Lloyd got 2 years to prove himself, similar to Brock, Uwland. Lloyd is a real talent. People will enjoy watching him if his 2nd VFL game is any indication.
