Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

In that scenario, Clarko more likely to do that to North, and take Curtin.
The point of getting rid of clarko was to move on from his lack of governance. If Sam was allowed to do that I would be very worried for our club and if I were MM I wouldn’t stick around. Provide your strong input on player types needed but ultimately leave the selections to your experts - that’s how you manage and how I view Sam based on what I’ve seen publicly but I might be wrong.

North are bonkers if they don't take Curtin with one of those picks.

A popular opinion, clearly, but I still wouldn't be taking him ahead of McKercher and Duursma.

In fact, I think they'd be bonkers to be prioritize a positional need over pure talent.

McKercher is an absolute gun - I find it hard to imagine him NOT being a champion mid at AFL level.
And Duursma looks a special talent - a natural forward ... a natural footballer all round. And crucially, he has game-winning potential.

No disrespect to Curtin, who should be an excellent player at the level, but you don't plug defensive holes when you've got attacking talent like McKercher and Duursma up for grabs.

For me, Curtin has a lot of traits that scream good afl player. Not star. Similar to Scrim for us

Dees throwing the absolute sink at our pick 4. They want Wiz. What will we do?
What does the absolute sink mean assuming the deal KL said was rejected is accurate for 6,11,42. If they add anything decent future to that and they want Watson and we are confident Curtin gets to 6 it is an absolute no brainer as a live trade. Obviously assumes Reid McKercher Duursma are first 3 of course.

Duursma on 9 news saying it would be a dream to play with his bro at Essendon. ‘Go home’ factor?
I instantly went off the kid hearing him say that.

I am still on the Wiz train but intriguing hearing Melbourne desperately want him as a partner for Pickett, a big decision looming if the offer is very very good.

Let him spend his next 10 years in bombers misery 😂

I would have thought if both clubs were serious, they would have already done the deal. ESPN has us taking Watson, but he is ranked 10th, whereas it has melbourne taking Curtin who is ranked 6th, just on that seems like a win. However, if they are also giving us their second first round, it has Melbourne taking windsor. not sure what you mean by the kitchen sink, but I doubt they will give us anymore than that. by the way Caddy & O'Sullivan will also be available (aparently with melbourne's first pick). It will be a hard choice between those 3.

Love the work of Curtin! Looks composed, unhurried when getting tackled, just rolls the shoulders and keeps looking for options by hand or foot, has good sense of what's around him. Reckon he'll command the backline in future games as he matures into a AFL standard player. Very similar to the way Sicily plays the game across half back , taking risks and getting involved in the hustle and bustle. Intriguing draft coming up. Can't see how Clarko would let him slip tbh.
