Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

Trade speculation belongs here.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Any McCabe, Dear or Maginness talk belongs here.

Reid, Walter, McKercher, Watson, Curtain, Dursma are a sensational top 6.
If O'Sullivan and Caddy are players then I think super draft is apt.
Even more so if the other acadamy kids were available to all.
And alot of value probably upto 40, Sam Mitchell and Bartell went very deep

Bartel was Pick 8.

Can we keep this on topic, please?

Full highlights of McKercher's huge champs carnival.

He really looks a different player in dry weather - blistering pace, excellent kick and composure.
If we were to draft him hope it would be to play him predominantly as an outside midfielder.
We simply do not need him as an inside mid.

I hope he is taken before our pick and we get the best forward/s.

It was back to the forward line full time this week for Caddy and he responded with an excellent display of contested marking and sharpshooting on goal.

Caddy is the closest to Gunston IMO.
Good size, works his ass off, excellent forward craft, good shot at goal, aggressive at the ball, and can take a mark.
He doesn't have that same beautiful balance that Duursma has, but neither did Gunston.
They're slightly different players IMO with Duursma higher on the silk/X-factor.

TBH I can't split them on ability - so it would have to be a call on something subjective, like character, upside etc

Super draft, shades of 2001

From what I've heard, there is top end quality in the first 15 or so picks and then it drops away. Nothing like the depth in 2001.

Don’t need him but gee McKercher looks good. Almost too good to pass up
Definitely need him - we still don't have a McKercher type midfielder. That is, a quick pure inside/outside midfielder, with smarts, polish and exceptional decision making ability. You could argue Will DAY fits that description but I see him as being more of a full time utility once our list becomes more accomplished.

It would be a tough choice, an elite forward which we desperately need or the most dominant midfield providing silver service and kicking goals themselves. If we had him, Mackenzie, day, Nash, jai, MacDonald. (As I say that out loud I’m not suprised Worpel hasn’t signed)

Argument would be made for us winning a big free agency signing as a key forward but it would be a risk to
