Gold Coast are their bogey side. The Suns beat them last year and have won three of the last four versus Sydney. The match is also at Metricon. And I don't think the Suns have quite the lack of talent you imply. They weren't far off the finals last year.

As above but also Witts v Ladhams is huge advantage Suns - league leader last year in HTA, he’ll dominate and give the Suns first use.

Plus rightly or wrongly (I’m not sure it is that much of an influence), people are probably fading Sydney based off the GF loss and historically teams falling away after an embarrassing flog in the GF, plus a delayed pre-season start.
