Brennan cox AGS $4 at betr

Inside word is he's playing forward with Hamling in

Played fwd final qrtr last week and snagged 1
If he was to play forward it would mean you have 9 forwards, and what, 6 defenders?

It just doesn't add up.

Of course I have come to this conclusion after blowing a couple of big ole watermelons on it.

[Edit: I haven't watched football for many weeks. I'm guessing Aish has been playing back there, and this Worner kid. Still seems like a crammed forward half.]

We dropped a midfielder for a defender
We dropped a forward for a forward

So 1 extra forward to last week, probably switta who plays midfield minutes

Defenders: Pearce, Wagner, Ryan, Hamling, Worner, Clark, Aish
Mids: Young, Serong, Bray, Johnson, Henry, Switta, Jackson (ruck)
Forwards: Amiss, Treacy, Schulz, Sturt, Emmett, Walters, Freddy, Cox

Won't be surprised to see Emmett rotate mid and Freddy rotate wing

There is still a chance that Cox plays back but we have an ITK on our board that is very accurate who says Cox will play forward, we have been lacking a third tall since Darcy went down so we may be trying something new in the final round

Make a Tip Jar so I can tribute you if it wins.

Baldwin has 5, 9 and 5 marks from his last three games. I'll try a marks train on him.

6/8/10 at 3.50/10/34 at TAB. 1U each.

Put a bit on Quaynor as well. He's 19-1 to get 10 and he's done it twice this year, and Essendon give up a lot of marks.

Wondering if hell go forward more than anything, really need a target

1u Dons +30.5
3u Suns -24.5
2u Lions -28.5
Dogs + and ML early
4u Syd -2.5
4u Giants +7.5
2.5u Pies/Lions/Suns ML
Dons +43.5/Suns ML/ Lions ML/ Dogs +16.5/ Syd +13.5/ Giants +21.5 (took this early)

Typically around 3 teams "mail it in" for the final round of the season as their focus switches to what they are going to wear for Mad Monday.

We should exceed it this year. Cats already flown the white flag. NM win and they lose Harley Reid and surely there is someone asking Larkey if he has any hamstring awareness. Demons dead rubber. Blues dead rubber. Rich GF last week, Dusty and Co researching Port nightclubs. WC and Ade potential for letdowns after massive games the week before. Freo on the road after a reasonably good stretch of form. I think Ess bounces back here but I wouldn't fall out of my chair if they got pumped either.

Giants (only if WB win) and WB with massive incentive to perform. Lions also.

Overs, team overs and surely some potential thrashings on the cards. WB 40+, GC 40+, Sy 20+, GWS 20+, Port 60+. A couple of 220+ games?

Might be the round to throw a few 50 to 1 or 100 to 1 multi's around.

I like your thinking. I went back and took a look at the final round of last year.

Here's the results with the final ladder position for each team (not including the two matches where both teams still had something to play for).

last rd 2022.png

GWS put up a good fight against Freo.
Hawthorn fought it out against Footscray.
St Kilda did likewise vs Sydney.

Blowouts

North lost by 67 to GC (who were only 12th)
Eagles got spanked by Geelong to the tune of 84 points.
Essendon lost by 66 to Richmond.
Adelaide got rolled by 56 by Port (who were only 11th)

So four out of seven games featuring at least one team with nothing to play for, ended in a big margin.
Two of those matches feaured two teams with no chance of finals.

And of the two matches where both teams had finals hopes, one ended in a blowout, one ended in a one-point margin.

Something to ponder...

FIBA World Cup
Australia v Finland

Essendon v Collingwood

Ginnivan 3+ Goals

Odds: $57.75

Markannen can clear the 25 points, the risk is the Patty Mills leg. And Essendon have checked out for 2023 after that performance last week against the Giants with their season on the line. Some of these Bombers clearly thinking about holidays, some unsure about their places in 2024 and they can count themselves lucky to beat West Coast a few weeks back- when they probably should have lost.
