We spoke about Caddy recently, good interview with him on Gettable.

I did not realise he has played back as well...... May still be around at pick 11.
From what Twomey is saying , he won't be around at p11.. But worth trading up for. Someone of his size 192cm 91kg can can play as a key forward and a midfielder has a very handy set of skills
A key forward that is that good inside would be a fantastic addition

Sam reid to the backline woooo

Hes trained there in prev seasons maybe he finally goes into defence

Then stay where we are and we can take two best available selections at 11 and 22. Use 30 plus the Stephens pick for Grundy. Personally and many won’t agree wouldn’t trade up for O’Sullivan at all.
I see you got one like for your comment. That probably suggests how many agree with you.
You said yourself, that many won't agree, so you accept the fact that most here would trade up to O'Sullivan. We would get a very ordinary tall with our 11 pick (becomes 16 at best) but you've declared all the way through these 500 odd pages that you are happy for mediocrity unless it's Curtain.
At least I'll concede one thing to you. You are consistent.

Just shows you why the points curve or whatever you wish to call it needs an uphaul and ASAP please. We benefit from it but it’s not right and strict rules in place please. You want the player one of the picks has to be in that round otherwise you miss out. There’s too much of matching with rubbish 3rds
As you know, the points are only of use to academy or father/son selections. Considering the way it is currently set is to our advantage, why do you want it changed?

Reason being Curtin has elite qualities (and he’s the only defender I rate this year really) why trade up to maybe at best get what we have. Might as well stick with what we have or even trade down split 11 get three in before the Cleary bid. These are options. I’d offer the farm to trade up to pick 2 but it’s unlikely to work therefore it’s what is best, so either that’s stick solid take 11 (15) and 27 (30 odd) to the draft or maybe we split the first one.

How many North games have you actually watched. Very, very few I would expect, but you are the expert.

Considering I love to watch most games, most weeks. He’s meh and he certainly ain’t 800k good!

Careful, only Bandicoot watches all football games.

You still don't get it do you? Sure, Curtain is clearly the best in this draft.
OK, it's your opinion that Curtain is the only KPD worth getting but most on here believe that O'Sullivan is the only other KPD worth drafting and will be a great get for whichever club is fortunate enough to get him.
Who would you hope we draft with pick 11, which will become 16 at best (probably 17) on the night?

Lewis Young should be our kpd target, 202cm 99kg and only 24.
He was brilliant last year for the blues when they had a heap of defenders out injured.
On the outer for some reason, might be gettable.
Okay - so this isn't the first post mentioning Lewis Young from Carlton so let's get what we know out the way.

  • Signed a new contract this year for 3 years with the Blues.
  • There's not a single media rumour indicating he's unhappy at the Blues or up for a move.
I'm not totally crushing your hopes, just saying the signs are not good.

That should most definitely be the end of the Lewis Young speculation.

Not with our entries we have no problem getting the ball inside 50 Naughton leap and contested mark ability especially on the SCG would be incredible.

Massive upgrade on Reid would throw the kitchen and toilet sink at him

Naughton would be easily a 60 goal a year forward for us.
He was the number one target for the dogs who don't tend to just bomb the ball in, yet he kicked a measly 44 goals.
Is about as reliable a goal kicker as Harry McKay.
McDonald will prove to be a far better forward than Naughton has ever been.

But you are saying there is still a chance!!!!!!!!!

He is the number one target for the dogs who have had probably 30% more I50s than us yet he kicked a measly 44 goals.

Completely different team structure than us.

You see mentioned on here how "vital" Reid was to our structure well Naughton is a massive upgrade on him and is durable!

Thanks Ticky, I wasn't aware he had signed an extension this year. Thought he might only have whatever was left of his original contract and may have been disgruntled with losing his position after seemingly playing well.
Well played Carlton I guess.
