Is Doedee any good? I know nothing about him.

Also, are the stories about McKay’s dodgy knee true?

Doedee was VERY good prior to the ACLs. Captained the Crows at 23, was headed for a likely AA selection.

Personally, I’m excited at any news suggesting he might be Sydney-bound.

Going after doedee is ridiculous. He's out all of next year with an acl.

ACL’s don’t take 2 years you know could easily be playing some form of footy by the first 6 or so weeks in the VFL with a AFL return around the mid season break. It would have to be the right price though

Okay - so this isn't the first post mentioning Lewis Young from Carlton so let's get what we know out the way.

  • Signed a new contract this year for 3 years with the Blues.
  • There's not a single media rumour indicating he's unhappy at the Blues or up for a move.
I'm not totally crushing your hopes, just saying the signs are not good.
You've convinced me!

He's a salary cap dump and they'll be giving us a pick

With all due respect, you have no idea what you are talking about. You would have no idea when the injury occurred as he played the entire game against freo and didn’t show any signs of being injured at all.
With all due respect I saw exactly when he injured himself. I would go back and give you the exact time code but it’s a beautiful spring morning and coffee is beckoning.

That would be great, I am waiting with great anticipation. But if you are going to tell the world again it occurred when he was trying to put pressure on a kick you have no idea, as I said previously.
One thing I am certain of is if you are not part of the swans staff or his family you have absolutely no idea. To suggest he got himself injured unnecessarily is just idiotic.

Given you’ve commented on Sheather a fair bit, and these comments, one might assume you know him personally, friend or relative?

Do you think he gets retained for 2024?

I think like all players in any team who are not contracted, everyone is just hopeful they get another crack at it.

You do you.
I’ll do me …

In my humble opinion, he is partly to blame for his own injuries and therefore partly to blame for losing his spot in the team (assuming he is delisted). We need to include injuries in our assessment of players as there is little to be gained sitting on the sidelines.

Of course injuries need to be included in an assessment of players. However, no player is to blame for their injuries on the football field unless it occurs in a non football act. And since you don’t know when he was injured, how he was injured and the exact injury he has you are just taking the piss. Players do everything they can to prepare and get themselves right to play and no one is going to go out on the field and do anything to get injured unnecessarily and put their careers in jeopardy.

Ok.
Once I finish enjoying this amazing day I will find the clip and we will see.

I might also try to track down one of Rohans pressure acts that resulted in him injuring himself.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure I am not …

A fit doedee is better than what McKay has ever shown. But our need for a defender stems from injuries, which this guy is prone to the worst of them all.
