Only because they have an amazing midfield already. Oliver would address a real weakness, in fact probably the main weakness in the Swans list. I would happily offer this years and next years first rounders for him, though that likely would not be enough.
I very much doubt that we would have the trade capital for Clarry. Would be a bit over the top to try to bring in all of Clarry, Jordon and Dow. I think the latter two are more likely.

I'd give this year's first round, next year's first round and a player for Clarry. Offer up Ladhams. Hell, I'd even offer Amartey if they need a forward.
Ladhams or Amartey is a perfect fit for Melbourne. They need a forward who plays backup ruck.

Amartey, our 1st & 2nd picks, for Grundy and Oliver?

They can have ladhams and amartey

I know it isn't just you, but I don't get the new hate for Amartey going on around here.

Did something happen that I missed?

There would be 17 other teams in the comp interested if Amartey was suddenly available.

He needs to get fitter, but outside of that I don't really understand what people are expecting for him.

I think if it's between Amartey and Oliver you'd pick Oliver every day.

Then if it's between Amrtey, McLean of McDonald you'd pick McLean and McDonald.

Amartey looks like he may be a gun, but injuries look like it might ruin what could be a very promising player

Well yeah, I mean if Oliver was available you'd trade almost anyone outside of Gulden.

It has nothing to do with hatred. I think our forward line can still flourish without Amartey. It also happens to be a position which Melbourne really need; and Clarry is a player that Swans need.

Paddy is a good country lad from orange growing country on the Murray….no pull back to Vic with him. Would be handy, however Idont see the move improving things for him.

He's a great player Andrews. I'd break the bank for him or Moore. Imagine if McKay becomes as good as these two? I reckon things will go into melt down here.

Back onto Andrews, I don't think there would be a key forward who would reliably kick a bag on him. Better to have a 300-400k a year player keeping him honest than have him beat your 1.2mil a year marquee player. I think the Pies have this worked out. They have identified particular positions that dont need a star, just someone who does their job, to support their bona fide stars.
We were into Darcy Moore years ago, long before he became the player he is now. Would have been a great get at the time

I would be happy to offload Amartey or Ladhams for Oliver. However, with all due respect to these two; if Melbourne want a player, I don't think they would be asking for either of those two in exchange for him.
Amartey and Ladhams as a combo wouldn't even be close. They will asking a kings ransom!
