Based on my info - what they signed him for pretty much matches what we were offering.
Good to know we’ve got more than enough money for Logan should rival suitors come swooping.

At this stage Logan isn’t worth a mega contract. For both parties it would probably be better if he signs a 4 year extension to prove if he’s worth the big bucks later on.

All that changes if he blows the competition out of the water next year though. Which will be a great problem to have.

Logan is an interesting one. Freo are already putting together a deal to make a play and will be 'apparently' updating his management early next year. Big offer.

I don’t know why, but I’m not worried about Logan. Every time any Swans HQ person gets asked in social setting it’s a very strong “don’t worry about that one” kind of response. Not sure why I trust that, but I do….

Further info on the Naughton deal and why the Dogs had to up their game:

The Dogs believed Sydney and West Coast were his chief pursuers, given the Swans need for another key tall and the Eagles link to his home state of Western Australia.

They had been told in negotiations one of those two clubs would offer a ten-season deal for Naughton, who is only 23 years of age.

Should be rebranded as the Leverage Swans...

Kin Beatson said this exact thing to me early this year and I believed him too.

Clayton Oliver requested a trade to us yet?

Seems to have cooled down a bit

"Clayton Oliver has told Melbourne he wants to stay and Melbourne is open to Oliver staying as a potential trade out de-escalates."

Nope, the issues & clubs circling were genuine. Not the Dees fault someone at the Crows can't keep their mouth shut.
Meh.

The whole week and the media fluff that feeds the nuffies is pathetic. As is the existence of 99% of the AFL media.

It could all happen in 6 hours. Usually does.

Instead we have this drawn out circus to stay in the news cycle after the GF has finished.

I'm glad every player and their dog has been linked to the Swans and I'm even happier we've managed to drive the price of players up. The more other clubs are forced to pay overs to retain their players it means there are fewer clubs with bags of money to splash around.

The flip side to that. We have 2 WA clubs sitting on the bottom half of the ladder with bags of cash ready to swoop on McDonald and Warner, 2 of our most promising players.

The kinds of money that will be thrown at them will make even the most committed players pause to consider. Yes we'll offer them good contracts, but for all we know, freo & WC may have an extra mill over the life of the contract to offer them.

In a twist of irony,Vic players are using the swans to get a 9.6 percent increase on their salary.
