One of the main criticism of Stocker during his Carlton days was his poor tank. Just didn't have the capacity to run through the middle. Hopefully he's addressing that now he's on to his second chance but there's enough question marks for me to avoid him as a starter.

Think he went off and employed a personal trainer in the off season specifically to address this - think he went to that dude in Keysborough that got all that media with that former Richmond kid Jack Higgins.

This probably as useful as a bull with **** but here is the Clubs in order of the number of Fantasy hundreds they concede with the line in the middle being the median line. One or two moderate surprise placings:
Copied a table from Calc - don't know how to reduce the columns widths sorry boys and girls - send me any skills boosters;)

Seriously thinking of going light in Def. So Young-Daicos-Yeo-McKenna-rookie-rookie. Can't say that I'm really keen on paying top $ for Doch/Sinclair/Sicily/Stewart. No doubt I'll have to at some stage but I think that the value is in the guys above plus there seems (early days I know) quite a few rookies putting their hands up and it's traditionally where the highest scoring rookies are.

That's a very thin list haha....
Yeah and let's not forget Zac Jones........ kind of expecting Sinclair to be pushed through there a bit tbh. Saints have a plethora of half backs and now with Coffield and Clark back, Stocker on the scene etc

Think Doc is the only one above Young in value really who is really worth committing to Round 1 as it sits today. Let's look at who there is above Young in value:

Dale, Hall, Vlaustin, Cumming, Lloyd, Houston, Duncan, Hurn, Stewart, Witherden, Sicily, Brayshaw, Dawson and Sinclair, in that ascending order. There is probably at least four of the top six Def keepers in there somewhere, but as we sit with the $$$ we have and the potential doubts over the roles still to be fleshed out....... Of the ones emboldened (roles are stable), probably Stewart is the next one you could commit to I reckon.

The beauty of the game, we see it differently to the real coaches:tearsofjoy: (and 20% of the AFL coaches are new to their respective Clubs)

You're right on the role doubts but I think Sicily has probably the least doubt (of the potential top 6), Mitchell is not silly enough to play him Fwd (maybe)

I don't know what happened to Stewart after his suspension (guilt?) but he only averaged 74 in those last 7 games, maybe Duncan?

The real risk for me is fading Doch, he's priced at 110 and could easily go 120 whilst Walsh and Hewett are out, this one that could easily change and probably will. My thought would then be to hold him until those other mids return.

Not as certain with Sicily, had a little whisper, all I can say. He did go up the ground a bit in the back end of last season.

Finals points are always hard to measure - they never count in our scores as we are done and dusted so Stewart is a hard one to nail down. He still had 5 tons (two monsters) from 17 pre-finals outings, but also had 6 x 90's which you happily live with.

Doc tons up so darn consistently it is quicker to discuss when he doesn't - 6 times and even those had three 90's. He's a lock, midfield time is probably a bonus.

Cadman ain't playing 22 games I'd imagine so he's a risk regardless of whether Cadman is good for round 1 or not. Come round 6 and Cadman is a late withdrawal with soreness and HH dishes up a 25 at FF lol
Or Hogan goes out injured

Honestly can't see how KK is going to not play him down back. That is how he coaches, best man/best position.
Mass injuries to Cadman/Ricardi/Hogan?

At least if the guy gets injured during the week you can prepare for it but a mid match/late withdrawal will be a killer
Unless Him goes 50 in the first half, Hogan doesn't get up at half time and he goes full forward

You have to have balls to go him

This Def guy's last seven games in 2022 went:

He gets so little love. Played 19 (3 inj), had three other tons and two 90's
