Setterfield averaged 95 playing inside at Carlton round 21-22 last year. Also dominated the VFL in that role. Pretty low ownership, anyone considering him?

For anyone concerned about Laird getting tagged, Selby has come in with a reassuring stat.
If Laird does end up copping a tag the affect will be minimal. If 120 is a worst case score I’ll take that.
He, Dunkley and McCluggage are confirmed to be the main mids and there will be minimal rotations so those three will be taking the majority of the points. There’s always that tag risk with Neale but don’t let that dissuade youThoughts on Lachie Neale this year? Tempted by him and his low ownership. Does Dunkley help him go to another level?
Cowan over Cincotta has put Laird in danger for me now as I need about 20k more than I gotAfter all that, that's honestly enough for me to just keep him. I'm gonna be travelling a bit, so having a perma C is the main reason I wanted him from the get go.
Think I’m all but settled on Worpel over Callaghan now. Think Callaghan will be a jet someday but I can’t risk it on that outside role he has. Gold Coast really did just dump it in his lap a few times early and his team mates were feeding him the ball a lot after that. I have no doubt he has the ability to win his own ball but it doesn’t seem to be his role yet. Very outside-heavy game playing on that wing.
Yeah I definitely agree Worpel comes with risks of his own. Just think he might have a more assured role to start the year. Whether he’s good enough to keep it is a different thing entirely! You say this as though Worpel doesn't have a full-game 10 to his name.
Think Worpel could be an amazing pick (Selby had a great chat about it on his last podcast) but he could just as easily get dropped if the coach doesn't want him in there, as they develop their new midfield brigade. It'll be a fascinating early season call I reckon as you can genuinely make a case on either side.

If I need to use Laird as my way to cash for Cincotta to Cowan it’s likely what I do.Is it too much having Macrae and Bailey Smith

Laird to smith (my next choice for a mid I’d like to back in) is the obvious choice that still maintains structure
Or I need to restructure. Callahan to a rookie is an option (but will need something positive to happen re rookies named, probably Humphries being named the 1 thing that would make me consider that
Yeah I think I’ll go philipou to long and keep bioth Laird and Callaghan. But if poo scores well and Fin not set world on fire then trade them after rd 1I think you can always go Callaghan to a rookie, as there's deffs gonna be enough rookies available to make that decision. I have both Hollands and Phillips on the bench as it sits, so Callaghan isn't even a necessity at this point - more a luxury. His solid JS is the main reason I've got him in, but apart from that, he's not a 'must have', IMO.
How are we ranking the big three Dogs Mids
Bont, Smith and Macrae
Got both. Would obviously have Worps ahead but I like Callaghan at that price. Think he's pretty low risk and has upsideThink I’m all but settled on Worpel over Callaghan now. Got Callaghan in a deep draft, so I’m still hoping he does well. I’m just losing confidence that it will be this year and would much rather have somebody like Sheed if $185,000 could just fall out of thin air to pay for the step-up.Got both. Worp Calla Ashcroft Mackenzie (Phillips, Hollands) M5-10 feels very solid and I'm hesitant to change
Sheed should have been a lock at that price but he looked cooked in the praccy games. Someone needs to check his papers there's no way that campaigner is only 27 years oldGot Callaghan in a deep draft, so I’m still hoping he does well. Setterfield not getting the love he deserves from coaches losing interest in Sheed.Sheed should have been a lock at that price but he looked cooked in the praccy games. Someone needs to check his papers there's no way that campaigner is only 27 years old
Will have a much better role but still don't rate him as a player. Can see him going about 85 and just being a crap middling pick that people will be moving up or down asapSetterfield not getting the love he deserves from coaches losing interest in Sheed.

I’ve had some interest in Setterfield and came to much the same conclusion. Plus I could never get him far enough down to M5 and he’s certainly no M4.Will have a much better role but still don't rate him as a player.
