Wait I thought it was Hunter we were talking about, not McComb?
Too far manI thought that was Baz Smith…
Goodness me, who’s the kicking coach down at the Bulldogs anyway? Andrew Dunkley??

Some really good points. With Berry I was talking about the Adelaide Berry since Jcpdragonx brought him up. I am also worried his tackle count is unsustainable, especially as I think his role will evolve more anyway. This is why I also won't pick Laird as I think his role will evolve. But he is intriguing and you don't get 17 tackles in a game through sheer luck.My thoughts.
Dale and Richards I think become the half backs at dogs. Daniel probably moves up field or wing.
Clark solid but can’t see him going a huge deal more
Duggan I’d avoid. Will score about the same as last year just had a nice finish to the year
Burton same as Duggan
Don’t think hopper goes above 95ish, he’s just never really been a great fantasy player
Im unsure on Hunter
I think Anderson can go big this year. Has all the tools
Gaff scored well to our slow ball movement gameplan. Doesn’t get the chips in the backline anymore. He was injured a lot of last year so I’d imagine we might see a bump but I doubt it’s enough to warrant starting him. Maybe more draft relevant
Acres too injury prone for me
Cerra I think excels with no Walsh. He seemed to excel in the games last year where blues had someone missing like a Walsh or hewett. Saw more inside time that way. Definitely prone to attention and crumbles with it
I don’t rate Morrison as a fantasy type. Pure wing and hawks wingers don’t do enough
Serong fourth year breakout? I’d be all over him if they didn’t recruit JOM but that has me a little hesitant
Newcombe I am all over. Anderson, Serong, Newcombe, T Greeb are all young mids who I think can take the next step
I rate Berry as a player but few Brisbane posters seem to think his shoulder can’t handle too much inside time which is why he doesn’t regularly see it. Think Dunkley inclusion hampers that as well. If you’re talking about Berry from crows then I don’t think his tackle count is sustainable. It’s bloody enormous but can see the merit in choosing him since he’s young and theoretically has upside if he can just tick over a few more possies each game
Noah Anderson not Jed.Some really good points. With Berry I was talking about the Adelaide Berry since Jcpdragonx brought him up. Would you recommend Dale from the dogs? Seriously considering it as 2022 was the first time he cracked 90. My concern though is does his role free him to score more, or does it take some time to adjust? Doesn't need to increase his average by much to become one of the top six defenders.
As for Anderson, my concern is that he'll score well when teams leave him alone and when the suns get a lot of the ball. When they're getting torched by a good team, he might struggle. But I do like him more at the suns than at the roos. Serong I totally agree I'm just not sure I'm willing to take the plunge. Green burned me this year; will he do it again? Newcombe I'm worried will be hampered by playing in a poor midfield and has a lower ceiling. But he's intriguing.
Hunter I'm seriously considering. He doesn't need to get a lot of contested ball to score and is relatively cheap at $732k.
I think we're getting our wires crossed. My original post was referring to Jed Anderson. Noah Anderson for me is kinda expensive, and is roughly the same price as players like Wines and Coniglio who I like more. I'm not sure Noah Anderson is in the top eight midfielders by the end of the season, and for that price, I'd want him to be.Noah Anderson not Jed.
Yeah I think I’ll steer clear of Laird too but it’s still early days. Some really good points. With Berry I was talking about the Adelaide Berry since Jcpdragonx brought him up. 104 post bye last year, so there’s +6 on his starting price already. Really like him. Feel like he’s primed to go bang. Definite Andy Brayshaw vibes from last yearNo bias but Noah Anderon's going 110
Average 26 touches and starting to add goals to his game.
Top 5 fittest at the club and runs both way, loves to play at metricon // 107 average, ceiling of 141
18/21 scores above 80, 16/21 scores above 90.
You'd tag Touk before Noah next year
He's got 120 potential
Yeah Bailey is another one. Will start with low ownership given he’s lost forward status but I reckon he’s a lock for a top 8 mid. Is he the number 1 tag guy there now though?Anderson seems more like a Simpkin, Keays or Amon type. I picked Brayshaw last season and the one I think is the one for us this season is Bailey Smith. Enormous ceiling, increased role with no Dunkley, 5th year... He's got 120 potential
He torches it too much to be the tag target. Will be either Bont or Crae you would think.Yeah Bailey is another one. Will start with low ownership given he’s lost forward status but I reckon he’s a lock for a top 8 mid. Is he the number 1 tag guy there now though?

Agree but remember he got 1 or 2 late. But guess with his running power it’s hard for someone to go with him all gameNot just that - how many taggers have the legspeed to go with him, particularly if we have Bont, Treloar, Macrae etc dishing it to him on the outside. He can play inside the centre square, on the wing or on a HFF flank - he's not the logical one to tag.
Bont easily tag target ahead of anyone. And like welts said, Lib is surely second in line. The other silver lining with Smith is that there’s always the chance he gets forward status back, however probably slim with Dunks leaving unless someone like a West/McLean take the inside time and Smith continues starting on the HFF. I think Smith/Walsh are arguably top 5 selections in start up keeper leagues. The fantasy pedigree for them both is too good to ignore, bit like Brayshaw
So Smith is taking Hunters Wing ?If there's no inside time, Baz goes to the wing. He's been there in match sim.
So Smith is taking Hunters Wing ?
So one would assume Baz sees a decline in scoring if he’s stuck on a wing? Your thoughts? Do you think Macrae goes back to being the super premo he’s always been without Dunks?Baker is more likely to, but wing has been a bit of a makeshift position for years. We've had Hunter when he hasn't been on personal leave, but the other wing has been a revolving door of inside mids we can't fit inside, defenders we can't fit into the backline, and Roarke Smith.
