Rookie cash gen is clouding trades
Got BE’s Sheldrick (-23), Maric (-9), Hewitt (9), Mullin (9), Windhager (22), Johnson (28), Wilmot (34) plus
Fleeton (11) & Davey (43)

Wilmot & Ashcroft (78) should be good v WCE @ GABBA
Barring Fleeton/Mullin/Davey feels too early
To hold the cows, two non playing loops required.
Loop Wilmot into HH with Mullin/Fleeton 373C3446-6956-4D7F-8BEE-D1B2A11FBFB7.jpeg
Loop Sheldrick into Johnson with Davey , if Sheldrick fires,
Hope Davey isn’t sub and trade Johnson into Bont or lower

Something isn’t quite right with Walsh at the moment, definitely had a better first half yesterday but came to a halt in the 2nd
Yea, I saw him on 30 at ¼ time and though maybe he was turning the corner. Might just have to hold and hope he doesn't drop too many more stinkers before I can trade him up

I don't think we'll see Davey back in the short term. Good loop option.
Maric showing -2 B.E for me.

Where I'm sitting post-trades. Players are (on field) ordered 1-8 in order of them taking the field, which feels upsetting to look at but helps me visualise when players are going to be locked out/in what order to make sure ducks are in a row/loopholes are set up. Carried 24k into the round.

T1: Day (775k) to Mills (653k) (+122k)
T2: Harrison (291k) to Allison (200k) (+91k)

Leaves me with 237k for next week.

Final trades are obviously contingent on selection/loopholes, I'm not averse to waiting another week on Mills given the breakeven isn't out of control.

  • Keeping Day is tempting given the next 4 of GWS, North, Richmond, St Kilda. But I'm not sure who else to fire
  • I don't like any of the downgrade options this week, so pending Harrison's selection, I might just **** him off to someone with greater utility - Allison has 6 Sunday games out of the next 7, defender/forward status, so can serve as a forward loop option for me but also I can fling him back into defence if needed, which works really well given how annoying having only 8 defenders has been - forces me to go defender to defender each time.
  • Set up Cameron & Sheldrick as loops, but can only take one I fear. If Sheldrick plays well, I'll get Windhager off field and take his score, then loop Cameron with Keays I think.
  • If Sheldrick has a <80-85, I'll flick Butters into the mids for Windy, still loop Darcy Cam, and if Darcy Cam plays well, take his score using Allison in place of Windy
  • If Darcy Cam also sucks, I'll loop Wilmot, and if his score is better than Cameron's, I'll switch Allison and Himmelberg and run Himmelberg in that forward slot.

Or I could just use Sheldrick F/Robertson M/Wilmot D as loops this week and play it old school. Not sure. I feel like bringing Mills in makes looping a bit harder this week, there's probably some sweet shit I could do trade-wise with keeping/trading day for a premo/trading day for a zero pending Sheldrick's score if he wasn't tied to Mills coming in. I may decide to turn Day into Petracca/Bont/Serong instead of Mills and get Mills next week, not sure.

No idea what to do now. Have cows on the bench in Dev/MJ/Windy/Mitchell/Chesser still mooing, and then Sheldrick scoring like a keeper!

Mills is a must have this week, so am thinking of Briggs to Mills (Gulden FWD, DCam into R2). That gives me $106k in the bank. Doesn't give me much to upgrade with this week.

However, next week I probably need to target English, so probably in need of cashing in a player in order to fund it. Doc and Bont are the other must haves... and then there's Sicily.

Main issue is I will need to cull a cashcow early - the question is who? Seamus is probably the one with the highest BE (56) and only $15-20k max to be made from him further. But who is worthy of downgrading to? Maric the obvious one, but can't swing any DPPs to use Seamus. Help! :(

Fyfe out with a stress fracture in his foot, was gone anyway.

Fyfe > Keays
O Lord (great name that) > Bauer

I reckon Dons players might be the pick of the bunch in the run home, they have 5 out of the last 8 at Marvel due to the heavy travel in the first part of the season. Which is why I’ve gone with Parish this week. Have Redman, Martin and Hobbs

I wouldn't be loading up on 4 players from an average team.

The only teams where it's ever paid off to have 4+ players from one team were the Geelong days with Bartel, Ablett, Corey, Enright, Chapman, Selwood etc and they were one of the greatest teams ever.

Well I’ll likely offload Redman and Hobbs in the next two weeks anyway. Martin and Parish will be the keepers

Need someone to talk me out of Himmelberg. Still priced at 70 and reckon he can do a repeat of last year where he averaged 100 odd after making the switch. Granted there's less junk now under Kingsley but he's taking most of the kick ins, has had a 150 in the same role plus the DEF/FWD dpp

Would be trading Day to him which gives me the coin for spud Lloyd to Serong. Tough as Day has North then us in a few weeks.. although that was a pathetic display yesterday I think he'll come good in those. At worst it should break even in points right? That would still make it a decent move. HH would be my 2nd worst on field after Sheldrick

Recon Hobbs is worth holding for a bit longer?
