Wingers just don't score well in general. It is a complete toss up in game as to whether they use your wing or not. If the ball is stuck down the other side, the winger does nothing except hold his width.

Not to mention that wingers are normally soft as butter so they are completely reliant on being fed the ball and won't tackle for easy points
