Yeah but what if your VC doesn't stink it up and you like the score, what do you do with the captain tag
Put it on a NON playing player.
Ie, your R3, and put him on field.
When your captain fails to play, your VC score will double.
To cover for your R3, (ie, Heath)
I move Marshall to the bench and put the Emergency on him.
That way when your rookie ruck doesn't play, you get your ruck emergency score and VC score in 1 hit.

Yes but if I put the cap on a non-playing player and emergency on a benched playing player, then surely that benched player will have their score doubled instead of VC cos it is covering a non-playing player with the cap tag on him.

No, if your captain doesn't play, you get your vice captain. Otherwise VC is useless if you just double your emergency.
It doubles the VC, and your E covers your DNP onfield captain.

I thought about it... I thought about it... I just couldn't bring myself to pick a 4th gamer for captain. Should have listened to my gut. Cheezel is a piglet

This week will be an interesting choice….

VC: Bray or Darcy
Early in the round so very easy to bank if needed. Darcy going up against Moyle potentially is why he’s on this list. In particular this game is one of the few that won’t be affected by the wet conditions too. Probably will lean towards Bray just to be safe

C: Marshall
Going up against the Pies makeshift ruck setup should be a great opportunity for him to go big. (Hopefully Ross the Boss doesn’t sub him off)

Dockers game at Norwood forecast to see rain at start. Not soggy but slippery. 5 to 10mm. 42765B4C-0FC4-40FB-8ECE-F135ADE8FC69.jpeg
If that changes things….

English/Green this week (rucks weirdly seem to do OK against Port this year, and English killed it in the rain last week against a tough opponent in Nank).

Don't really want to risk anyone else given the expected conditions across Friday night/Saturday.

Lyon cuddles tactics on Daicos a threat?
I think there is a strong element of jumping at shadows with how Ross Lyon used to coach, and how he is coaching now.

Apart from Bytel going to Serong in Round 1, Ross Lyon hasn't really put a tag on anyone this season as far as I can recall. And he has had Windhager at his disposal if needed, and hasn't done it yet.
