wow. no one else could possibly notice that every shot showing a fan tour group at the basketball World Cup / ashes / insert sporting event overseas is almost exclusively populated with old campaigners and make the same well worn ok boomer avocado toast jokes.

Probably my 12 favourites to take to Paris.
Adding cotton + DJ gives us a lot more shooting.
Simmons gives us the rebounding we’ve lacked and a bigger defender and can score inside.
Ideally would swap out white or daniels for a stretch big who can hit from range if we have one in form. Would consider maker if he’s in good form.
Really our team is focused on giddey, and we’re not commited to picking a team to follow through on that.
Picking a team around giddey is bigs or shooters. He can feed those guys all day long or feast on getting to the basket.
What he can’t do is reliably feed slashers cutters and open floor runners. Teams just clog the lanes.
I reckon we could have picked a team of the best nbl bigs and shooters around giddey and it would have worked better than what we saw with a team full of nba talents.

I think we are at a point where we are getting sucked in to “having to” pick guys because they play in the NBA.
But the truth is, our best “team” may well exclude some NBA players for balance.

Gleeson mentioned on the broadcast he spoke to cotton 2 weeks ago and it still hasn’t gone through.

Simmons historically a non-shooter. Most of the shots he has made in his career are catch and shoot opportunities.
Have they sorted out the mess from why he cannot be naturalised due to spending 30min in detention
I think that’s why BA stopped trying to naturalise him knowingly they can’t before Paris.
