I'm really concerned with some of the chatter about Goorj. He's going to keep the job isn't he.....

Yep, really can't believe that it just seems to be a given amongst the media that he will be there. He should absolutely be sacked and there shouldn't really even need to be a discussion.

I question Cooks due to one thing - shooting. Which we already severely lack. I think a guy who might be worth taking another look at purely as a stretch big could be Brock Motum. Even a guy who I think should've been there this time like Thon offers decent shooting.

That said if anyone has seen Trevor Gleeson's team, or chatter around Joe Ingles/Patty Mills/the old guard in the media... Don't hold your breath on the old guard being phased out. It almost seems as though they want to double down on Mills/Ingles/Kay as pillars.

I seem to be the only one high on Sam Froling, 23 years old & can do most things inside the 3 point line, he has to project ahead of Cooks mid term.
Creek not on BA's christmas card list, but let's say he's matured and is developing a 3 point shot.

Turns out FIBA have some really stupid coach challenge rules that only allow challenges of things that refs should be reviewing anyway (time on the clock, two or three free throws, etc). Goorj is probably right on that one.

Was wondering about Motum. He’s a solid defensive player inside and underrated. He’s 32 ish.

Cooks has a chance with a young inexperienced Washington squad. Definitely needs a 3 ball to excel. He can’t just be doing driving lay ups and step backs- NBA chews and spits out that sort of game
