Possibly opening up the list spot to take one of Harvey Thomas or Charlie McCormack in the national draft and the other as a Cat B is another option

I really liked McCormack in the national championships. I'm surprised I haven't heard his name more in draft discussions.

Forwards that don't do anything outside of kick goals aren't typically spoken of highly

We could have just listed one to the Cat B Rookie list & if not selected in the ND the other one to Cat A Rookie list. Didn't need to delist Kennedy.

Unless we're covering matching a late bid to allow one to be added to the main list. (Though I would have thought with the previous plan to take Fantasia that we'd be prepared to miss out on ... presumably Harvey Thomas as the more likely to be bid on.)

Unlikely Kenners gets a game unless there is a stack of injuries.

everyone keeps saying that every year - and every year (barring injuries) he does.

I know the dynamic has changed and the team has somewhat settled but right up to the announcement of the team for round 1 last year, the only people who had Kenners as best 22 were the coaches & the match selection committee - and they’re the ones that count.

31 is not old. And I still have him (even with 2 knee recos) ahead of Angwin, Hamilton, Wehr, Stone, McMullin, Fahey, Peatling etc. who are all there or there abouts in that 19-26 slot.

every year he has been underestimated and undervalued - you’d think after a straight decade of the same thing happening at least some people may have learnt.

He’s a mate kenners and it’s been bloody hard watching his bad luck.
But he’s bloody immensely valued by that footy club for good reason.

Yeah, he's had some tough injuries over the years. But always has put his body on the line. 153 games (so far!) is a great achievement. Great club man, and beloved by the fans - even if a little underestimated as discussed above!

His injury this year pissed me off - there was no need for the hit, he had already disposed of the ball and was out of play.

Absolutely!
I can assure you his mates from in the day lit up our chat groups.
How the **** do all these little incidents get reviewed but not that?
Was a disgrace.

After consultation (but by no means does this represent the opinions of other WCE supporters) it seems like the only option that would piss supporters of both teams off is this
GWS
OUT: 7,15,F1,
IN: F1,F3

On this year’s ladder its
7,15 and 15 for 1 and 37.

Deal or no deal?
my issue is that I think WCE are a little better than how they finished.

Geez blast from the past! Really? We were pretty average and just lost Shuey and Hurn (NN didn’t play anyway). I don’t think I’d do that deal anymore. GWS looking to offload the pick? I reckon Caddy or Curtin is likely to be available.
Ive been on holiday catching up :)

I get what you are saying, but every year, we have had injuries too.

Kenners (when fit) sits either just inside the best 22, or just outside. players like that usually get a lot of games most years, especially if they are versatile.

With Kennedy, at least you know he'll play his role and give 100%. You cant ask for much more than that.

I reckon this year, it'll be the same as most other years, he is probably going to miss out if everyone is available, but he'll probably get quite a few games a long the way.
