I thought the ball hit the bat handle? Massive noise and big snicko spike usually doesn't mean glove i thought
Nah the ball was past the handle by the time snicko occurred.

The third umpire explicitly stated that the ball hit the glove. Apparently, in his view, the gloves are in contact with each other, which is clearly not the case.

From the ball hitting a glove that wasn’t touching the bat, or touching the glove that WAS on the bat.

It wasn’t out mate. It was an incorrect decision.

He has to be trolling or short of several brain cells. How can he be so certain we he doesn’t even understand the rules.

As per the MCC Laws of cricket Aristotle Pickett
Essentially, the glove must be in contact with bat whilst the ball strikes the glove. Refer to point 5.6.2.2

5.6 Contact with the ball
In these Laws,
5.6.1 reference to the bat shall imply that the bat is held in the batter’s hand or a glove worn on his/her hand, unless stated otherwise.
5.6.2 contact between the ball and any of 5.6.2.1 to 5.6.2.4
5.6.2.1 the bat itself
5.6.2.2 the batter’s hand holding the bat
5.6.2.3 any part of a glove worn on the batter’s hand holding the bat
5.6.2.4 any additional materials permitted under 5.4
shall be regarded as the ball striking or touching the bat or being struck by the bat.

33.1 Out Caught
The striker is out Caught if a ball delivered by the bowler, not being a No ball, touches his/her bat without having previously been in contact with any fielder, and is subsequently held by a fielder as a fair catch, as described in 33.2 and 33.3, before it touches the ground.

At this point I’m not certain he can actually read let alone understand the minutiae of what is a fairly basic cricket rule

It was no near the right handed heckin'g glove mate. Give it up. Even Tubby Taylor said it was clearly out.

I would even care if was unintelligent or wrong.

It's that he's a confidently wrong and an arseh*le about it. I genuinely don't think he's trolling either.

Refer back to the other picture from a few pages ago. It wasn’t near the left glove either.

And no need to swear mate. This is a family friendly forum
