Reckless yes but doesn't seem like there was much in it.
Was late to the contest, jumped after the disposal of the ball, wasn't trying to protect himself, was an out and out snipe.

Not much to hang his hat on.

But the AFL will want him in contention for the Chaz.

Christian is consistently inconsistent, he has totally lost the plot and needs to be taken out back and put down. He has turned the MRP into a bigger farce than last season.

I hope for Michael Christian's sake that he is being paid handsomely for doing this job. I don't mean that from a corruption point of view because I don't believe that to be the case at all. However, he is, obviously, being forced to follow some very strict, unforgiving guidelines with absolutely no room for commonsense manoevre. This is making him a scapegoat and he's being made to look totally foolish a lot of the time. It's now become even more controversial than the system it replaced. This would have been unthinkable at the start of the season.

Have they stuffed up again :

"Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the North Melbourne Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with high impact to the head. The incident was assessed as a two-match sanction. The player can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea."

What exactly does an NMFC medical report have to do with a ? concussed Brisbane player ? or did they not have any Doctor's at the game o_O

You can follow strict and unforgiving guidelines. I have no issues with that what so ever. It's the inconsistencies that drive me mad. If Jy cops 2 weeks than Sandilands should've copped 2 as well. Fyfe should've copped 2-3, Robinson 2-3 and Burton 3-4.

Whilst I agree two weeks for Jy vs 0 for Burton is an absolute joke, the current rules are different in relation to bumps resulting in head clashes. They were changed back after people got their knickers in a twist that good guy fyfe could get suspended for a bump with a headclash (ironic that he now gets suspended for something others have gotten away with this year). So technically, Christian's decision re Burton was correct as the rule stand still today (seems likely that will change again by the end of the year).

Having said that, Jy is incredibly stiff and surely would have a good chance of getting of getting cleared by the tribunal. Genuinely seemed to be contesting the ball, and at the last millisecond braces for contact. Not sure he had the time to tackle.

The other thing that could be argued is the force of the contact. Why "high" impact and not medium? Nic Nat's tackle on the Port guy only resulted in a medium impact I'm fairly sure?? A medium ruling brings it back to a one week suspension

Robinson's act was far worse - bee lines a guy who was having no influence on any contest and hits him in the head. Only luck means Higgo wasn't hit in the wrong spot causing a concussion. Once again guys are getting punished for the result and not the action itself.

It has already been announced that Fyfe is challenging on AFL website, what is holding us up ?

Probably the legal and biomechanical advice getting put together.

It's more complex.

Burton moved at least 5 metres and had about 5 seconds to move into the path of a player that had the ball and could have tackled but chose to bump and put Higgins in hospital. Jy literally was in contest for the ball and had approximately 0.5 metres and 0.1 seconds to correct his action and protect himself from impact.

Rest your case on that argument.

Guaranteed there will be a particular specific reason. In Burton's case, they'll say Higgin's was in possession of the ball. For Fyfe, it will be that Greenwood played on. Same for Robinson. Nonsense but following very strict guidelines. Christian merely ticks boxes. Let's hope Jy gets off at the tribunal - if we go there - commonsense is supposed to be used there.

Comedians are usually some of the brightest people you'll meet, and they're usually able to critically evaluate any situation they have an interest in.

Absolutely hate Molloy as a comedian, but when he talks seriously, he generally talks sense.
The good comedians are yes very intelligent usually.....I could name quite a few crap comedians that are not to back that up.

Only thing is Molloy is a Tugger supporter. So....IQ - 50

Lol. WT actual F? It's like the sh*t performance from the umpiring just continued on into the MRP.
I'm waiting for Gil to walk into Brads office with an exploding cigar and a water spouting carnation tomorrow, slap him on the back with a " wocka, wocka, wocka. We gotcha!!"

****ing clown show down there.

Michael Christian said he had time right to make a decision and elected to bump. Think North has a reasonable chance at Tribunal, but it would be all duck or no dinner, i.e. gets off (attacking the ball, footy accident) or two-match bans stands (high impact finding will stand)

Chrisso felt he had time to make a decision at last second and elected to bump, so has to wear consequences. I think North's chances of a successful challenge are reasonable

" After North's great win on Saturday at Geelong Jy Simpkins replacement in the side Cameron Zuhaar is this weeks Rising Star nomination. His 34 disposals, 17 contested and 4 goals was a major factor in a complete team performance. His eligibility to play for North has been questioned though by Stephen Hocking who says he forgot to dot an i and cross a t on his draft form and Michael Christian who says he tripped a kid at school in 2008.
North may be stripped of their 4 premiership points."
