It'll be interesting to see how Texas (11-1) and Oklahoma (10-2) fare next season with the tougher SEC schedule and no easy conference games. It will be interesting to see how they fare over the next decade, for that matter.

I have a hunch they'll both end up as underrated mid-table SEC teams, battling away with the likes of Mizzou, Auburn, Kentucky, Florida and the Aggies. Their relevancy to the national title conversation might become less frequent when they're no longer the big fish in the Big 12 pond.

Maybe but I don't think so. I think they will be more on LSU's level. Or, at least Texas will. They should also be able to recruit better being in the SEC as well. People like to think it doesn't matter but there is a reason why the top teams in the SEC tend to land most of the 4 and 5 star recruits.

Yeah, I was about to add, they will get the Recruiting bump for a while at least I reckon.

They have both always recruited Texas well but now it opens them up a lot more to Georgia and Florida talent. I still think most of the top ones will be spread between Bama, Georgia, and FSU but I can see some finding Texas or Oklahoma a better fit. Those recruits that value education could also have their heads turned by Texas. I don't know how well they recruit California but the SEC seems to recruit that state well with how bad USC and UCLA have been.

Plenty of talent in Texas, its been a place Mizzou recruit from.

So the roll on effect could help Mizzou, if Texas end up leaving in State recruits on the Board.

No chance Texas leave in state recruits on the board unless they can get better from elsewhere.

What a weekend ahead. Never been more important for a bunch of teams to win, and probably win well to make sure they don't leave it in the hands of the committee.

Great way to start with the final pac 12 championship today.

To hear Herbstreit commentate college ball is to wonder why he wastes all of our time on Amazon. He gets so excited for college ball, he has "his guys" in college - he doesn't have any of that in the pros.

I didn't realise Washington's defence was this good.

Penix having a game like this will expose heisman voters who vote before championship weekend.

I still think its either Penix or Daniels.
Will be interesting to see if Penix can break the anti west coast bias or just voters who dont watch west coast games. Last year doesnt count since it was never a race. This one is close

He has been vocal about wanting to call NFL. but still loves college. wouldnt be surprised in he takes over MNF in 5 years or so if Buck and Aikmen retire. Unless he has changed his view and doesnt feel the pull to the NFL as strong after doing TNF
