True. But it's a ridiculous stat nonetheless. And of course he blew a 25 point lead as OC in the SB.

It is and has caused a sense of inevitability every time the 49ers are behind late. However, the overall league stat is nothing to write home about either. Hardly a surprise, being down two scores in the 4th quarter is most likely to lead to an L.

It would be nice if he could do it at least once or twice though.

Bills vs Lions the dream matchup. But I'll happily take Ravens vs Niners too. Best two teams all season is always nice to see.

If it's the former Bills should sign Jim Kelly and the Lions sign Barry Sanders. If one is up easily late, insert them into the game to take the game winning kneel down. Cut the other one before final whistle to avoid further heart ache.

From what I've seen of the 49ers losses this year, feel like opposing defensive fronts winning the battle and getting to Purdy quickly has been his weakness. (Especially Cleveland and Baltimore games).

Think if Packers are to have a chance, must win the trenches battle on that side of the ball and get to purdy alot within 1 to 2 seconds.

In those games with those pressures, to me he has struggled.

However, If he has 3+ seconds majority of the day, I can't see San Fran not controlling the clock as well as putting 30 pts or more up.

or you could say he got them a 25 point lead and Dan Quinn's defense blew a 25 point lead instead.
As logical as it sounds, it's probably the reverse.

The D did an amazing (but physically taxing) job in to the 3rd quarter which allowed the Falcons to build a huge lead without controlling possession or running many plays.

When the D needed the Offence to burn clock, they did strange things including frequently snapping the ball with 15+ seconds on the play clock. Stopping the clock with incomplete passes, and taking time-outs. Just a total meltdown of all the little things.

Great video on it (plus it goes for 28 mins 3 seconds)

Yeah, it was a bit tongue in cheek , he made some weird play calls given the situation but I think the players ****ed up more than Kyle did however. Freeman fresh airing a block that lead to a sack and the holding penalty that brought it back and took them out of FG range were key in losing.

Came here to post that. At least have some ******* clue about the sport you are sent to cover:drunk:

Its like Colin Cowherd saying at trade deadline in baseball yankees and dodgers should trade all their future 1st and 2nd round picks for next 4 years for Otani. You can't trade picks in baseball. You Muppet. How people like that still have jobs baffles me.

That should be the last question she asks for this season :$

Update on this. the local TV news the reporter comes from had a sports crew of 3 that were all let go and now they dont have anyone to cover sports so just send random people from the news team.

No sympathy from me, dont put your hand up to ask a question if you have no idea what youre even asking about.

Looks like Jerry is keeping McCarthy on as HC. Despite what he says he's not really interested in winning, is he?

Maybe just likes having an easy scapegoat on hand who can take the blame for the continued faceplanting that this team does in the playoffs.

Offseason thread mate. It's a sticky.

Is Dak not the bigger problem?

Jerry is an interesting case - despite his reputation as an extreme meddler, he seems very reluctant to make big changes. He also has his blind spots - Dak being an obvious one.
