I think Clark might stay, after seeing the last lot of media.

Campbell might also stay if we still have no extra ruck coming in.
Highmore, don't know. Peris, i would like still to keep
Jones, should be let go, Dmac probably will be in trouble unless he can get on t he park.
I really hope Clark stays.

Campbell I think will be moved on if Heath continues to improve, and we might get in a younger depth ruckman.

Peris, I just don’t see it. He’s eager, and super quick, but disposal is awful.

Wash your mouth out , hope he is not a sook like Jake was

He was no sook. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and at times seemed like the only player on the field that cared about the team playing well.

Perhaps something happened to him? 🤔

I don't think the bloke is a leader full stop , Port sucked us in big time making him Captain for one game , they only did that to try lift his trade value , as you can tell i don't rate him at all, way too many brain fades for my liking
a mans got to know his limitations... dougal does not

Jones
Bytel
Sharman
Clark
Byrnes
Cambell
Connelly
Highmore
Peris
I agree that Highmore, Peris, Connolly, Campbell are gone all delisted. I would add Allison to that list.
Id be happy to see how the 'constantly injured' players - Clark, Gresham, Jones, McKenzie go this year before pulling the trigger on trades. Having said that I think we need a ruthless approach with these players this year. If they dont play they basically get traded, we cant keep carrying could of beens!
Bytel, Byrnes & Sharman are hanging by a thread depending on their development this year. Would love it if all 3 stood up and earned games.

If the above occurs - Gresham might get us a reasonable pick as a free agent.
Clark possibly traded for a top # 25 pick.
Jones a straight swap for a backup ruckman.
McKenzie (I love the guy) cant bring myself to conjure a trade.
Bytel & Byrnes a 2nd or 3rd rounder.
Sharman possibly delisted, but may earn a reprieve as a Membrey backup.

I personally don’t like Paton on a wing, too limited in his skill set & footskills and decision making questionable ..lockdown defender is more in his wheel house.
He's got a nice leap hasn't he. That was a great mark inside forward 50 he took in front of Draper.

I watched him fairly closely and his first instinct when he's in the middle is to cover defensively, rather than spread towards goal. He rotated down back at times as well (when Nas pushed higher up the ground I think). But despite all his deficiencies, he is hard working, and that is something that Ross Lyon values immensely.

Seb was one of our more creative and polished players last year . Completely turned his game around I think.
Always seems to get himself up and involved for the important games as well. You can't knock that attitude, we just need some of our more skilful players to rise above that again.

Sure are a lot of Nostradamuses in this here pre-season thread discussing end of year delistings.
It’s fair to speculate.

There’s no point in dying on our respective hills though. We don’t know, none of us, and it might be completely different by the end of the season.

For the cut possibilities, I really hope it is.

Our list is far from settled so it’s inevitable there will be changes made, how many..who knows?

Ben got overlooked in his draft year but was an AA as an over ager in the following season.
He was excellent for us as a lockdown defender before his broken leg.
He’s a different player to Webster, so surely they can both play in our defensive 50!

I think Webster has the role of taking the opposition's best small forward pretty well locked down, Paton's lockdown abilities have been lacking since he broke his leg. His main competition now would be with Stocker.

I think it was Gringo who said he might be a 'slow processor'. I think that's the main issue. Elite players are able to sum things up quickly and make a good decision. I'm a bit stupid in the moment too, so can relate. Do my best thinking after the event.

Raph was probably the worst in this regard. Any other contenders?

Anyway, I think Doogs is probably at his worst in the preseason, before things become automatic. He'll be right. Bit worried about him if we make a GF, but that might be wasted worry.

I mean… I could see a post-flag retirement or two, but, y’know…

I Dont Care Whatever GIF

it might be, that it will take time for him.

Adams up 8kg and Owens up 6kg is pretty significant!

And gee, Van Es is massive, 196cm and 101kg, he has all the tools required to really carve out a nice career for himself as a key back. Hope he makes it, would love a tall, heavy/strong defender and apparently he’s pretty quick for his size too.
I thought King was measured at 204.5 cm earlier this year.
