So unbelievably proud. Outmatched but we are a team that demands respect again. We'll be back next year with another year of development into Durds, Motts, TDK, Dutchy etc. plus whatever magic Austin and co. provide in the off-season.

Never been more excited to be a Bagger.

I’m as bad as anyone for highlighting weaknesses but the first order of business is to win enough games that we don’t have to travel interstate to win finals.

It’s simply too hard a task. Nobody was beating Brisbane in Brisbane today even though we looked likely at one point.

I love Grand Finals - started going when I was 6yo. Can remember (more or less) 61 of them.
Just disappointed a bit I guess but I really don't know whether I will bother watching next week

Sad end to the season, but the team did so well to put themselves there.

Lots of improvement to happen off-season with personnel and coaching.

They’ve lived the benchmark now.

Must take it up another level to compete.

My post is made in the context of my emotions post tonight's PM. Pragmatically, we had a fantastic year!....but after our first qtr in the PM we went missing. No one stood up and Lions were full of run and pressure. A disappointing last 90 minutes to our season. Crippa was below par (as he was in the H&A game against Lions), Coleman Charlie seemed to disappear in the finals, Harry was back and trying, and the extra "finals" pressure by Lions post 1st qtr unsettled our game plan. For most of qtrs 2 & 3 we looked lost, final qtr a mini revival. To kick 5 goals in the first qtr but finish with 9 at the end of the game while Lions piled on 10 majors in the second half and seemed to be controlling the game was frustrating!!

Walsh, Weitering, McGovern really stood out in finals football.

Curnow struggled big time. Newman had a terrible night.

Kudos to Boyd for a decent first finals game.

I did think our smalls in Cottrell, Hollands, Motlop and Fogarty were very quiet. Hollands the most disposals of the quartet with only 11.

We reverted to needing big numbers from our stars but only Walsh accommodated.

Maybe it all caught up. Maybe it's because Brisbane are more like Adelaide with their leg speed and that was always going to be our achilles heel.

I hope we address our pace again in the offseason. We can't only recruit endurance athletes and play a grinding game. We need some footspeed as well.
