Huge from the boys to still be giving it a crack til the death.

I think tactically we got outplayed after quarter time, Docherty was good in the middle but we needed to tighten up on Coleman which we did a bit more in the last. I’m not saying Voss is terrible or anything though, he’ll learn and we’ll get better.

To go down by 16 against the Lions at the Gabba, I’m not mad. Obviously I’m still not happy but I’m proud of the boys.

Boyd showed that he has it.
Hollands will get better and better.
Cottrell is an essential cog in this side.
Newman is a warrior.
Marchbank played his best game for the year today, much more assured

I could list all the boys really, rest up and get back to it next year. Go Blues!!

It has been a hell of a ride. Harsh ending after an amazing first quarter.

Let's appreciate our first finals run in a decade. We are a legitimate team who deserves to be respected again.

Brian Cook said our list wasn't complete. Let's set about rectifying the gaps.

Thanks Blues. Made me smile again.
Yep.
Very grateful.
Had a blast up here. Rode the joy wave all the way.
Thanks Blueboys.💙

Wonder why Charlie was so quiet all finals
He (we) need to learn that when it's not working for him to play as a decoy, not feel he has to do everything to try and spark something.

Cripps has had to learn that the hard way, I think Charlie does too.

Nice problem to have, two Coleman medalists with improvement in them

Boyd might have been been an inspired selection, but he looked best 22 material before suspension and showed it again tonight. One of their best.

Hollands is on the right trajectory.

Massive tick for the season. But the goal now is to be there again next year, and the year after that etc.

Fill in the gaps, work on the turnover game and go again.
I reckon Dow was on the right trajectory too but the MC refused to see it

Walsh, Weitering, McGovern really stood out in finals football.

Curnow struggled big time. Newman had a terrible night.

Kudos to Boyd for a decent first finals game.

I did think our smalls in Cottrell, Hollands, Motlop and Fogarty were very quiet. Hollands the most disposals of the quartet with only 11.

We reverted to needing big numbers from our stars but only Walsh accommodated.

Maybe it all caught up. Maybe it's because Brisbane are more like Adelaide with their leg speed and that was always going to be our achilled heel.

I hope we address our pace again in the offseason. We can't only recruit endurance athletes and play a grinding game. We need some footspeed as well.
Weiters got caught out in the Lions first 3 goals. He was the opposing back man but unlucky given how Lions delivered the ball.

The feeling of pride is equalled by the hollow disappointment.
Yeah, we made a preliminary but we also p1ssed up a golden opportunity, and the club should push even harder next year.
Boyd was fantastic. Never a bad mention again from me.
Many others were passengers. Mere stargazers.
Imho, we really missed Kemp's marking and Owies forward line speed. The fact that Martin finished with 2 was very flattering.

We really need some run.
How good would it have been to have. I dunno, maybe Jordan or even Harmes?
I don't wanna see a fairy fluff outside seagull at the club but I do want us to recruit a hard outside runner that can also make a hit.
A big preseason for Binns, maybe?

Positives;
Boyd - a great game after a few weeks out.
Walsh - Genuine superstar.
Cripps - Outstanding game. 2 captain's goals.
Harry - Kept presenting all day
Marchbank - Genuine AFL finals interceptor

Negatives;
Now's not the time.
Proud but very disappointed.
We do need some run. where will we find it?

no Cuningham no Carlton....

Seriously though, this group have restored pride to the jumper
But tonight really hurts given how we disappeared after quarter time. So much promise in the past 12 weeks and then passive capitulation for most of what turned out to be the last 90 minutes of our season.

Agree on Kemp. Feel like backline in general functions better with him there. Particularly seems to help Weiters game. Kind of like Owies helps our forward line function better.

Top 4 is the goal next season. Think about it, if we were at the MCG against this mob, I reckon there’s no doubt we win tonight.

I’m glad Vossy huddled them up at the end there, be proud but not satisfied. We go again.
Voss wasn't involved at all.

Was all the players
