Who do we play on Cameron?
Just watched the last quarter again and Pickett was fairly instrumental whilst cinc was on him in the last!
Would Boyd be a better option to come in and play on Cameron?

Missed the Boyd bit

Yes, given the Lions forward structure I would bring in Boyd for Marchbank.

Kemp had his normal game brilliant/bizarre

Cincotta and Saad, both gave up dangerous leading space at times

We do need an extra small in place of a tall

I've been thinking Boyd in for weeks, just looks like the MC prefer Marchbank.
I still think finals footy need big bodies, Hollands is a year or two away. Fish is another that might not suit finals footy.
Marchy is courageous as anything, Boyd probably a better fit. If Gunston is playing imo Marchy stays, if not 50/50 call.

What was brilliant about Kemp's game?

Have loved his growth, but got a comprehensive paddling on Friday.

Don't think too much has changed, and I know I got slammed for highlighting his extremities, but that seems to play out each week.

Has a number of boss moments where he just destroys a contest and or owns the marking space, but then has moments where he forgets body contact and or wants to mark from behind

He will improve, we just have to be patient

I know it’s a risk(boydy played bugger all footy over the past few weeks) but I’m just about sold on the idea.

It's a worry that we are playing so conservatively right now and had less shots on goal than both Sydney and Melbourne.

Voss has alluded in his press conferences that its not by design. Seems our players are tightening up, particularly since the few times the likes of Newman and Gov did go for more aggressive kicks vs Sydney they back fired big time.

A bit worrying, especially compared to how we played earlier in our winning run and watching GWS take it on.

The surge with handball through the middle has dried up somewhat. GWS and Collingwood gather numbers at half back and play blitz ball. At our best we were more daring but still different to that model. I feel like we’ve found a decent middle ground but we need to take some risks with handball if are to win a premiership. Good thing is we have room to improve and we are in a prelim.

Largely agree.

Just didn't see any of the former Friday. Out of position all night, and I thought the rush of blood shot on goal was our last chance wasted. Thankfully not.

Team.

FB:
Newman - Weitering - McGovern
HB: Marchbank - Kemp - Saad

C: Acres - Cripps - Docherty
OB: Pittonett - Cerra - Walsh

HF: Fogarty - McKay - Cottrell
FF: Martin - Curnow - Motlop

Interchange: De Koning, Hewett, Cincotta & Cuningham

Sub: Hollands/Dow

Martin in for Owies
McKay in for Kennedy

Just feel Motlop has been more composed than Owies this final series.

Cuningham and Fogarty get up the ground more and start more chains.

Martin to play deeper - upgrade on Owies.
