Whatever Harry brings, he certainly takes the heat off Curnow and provides up field making options meaning on of the two can stay deep and stretch Brisbane. Martin is in careeer best form and is so dangerous. I feel lke we get our most potent forward line back. It's a free hit and we are up to it.

Was at the Lions v Port game. First quarter was nothing to write home about, and I thought nothing to fear here from either side. Second quarter, both sides stepped up but Port started to fade. Third and fourth quarters Lions just run over them. If they're on, they're on. They looked good. My question are, how will they go with some tough contested footy, and will we have the bodies to go with them?

Also, on a personal note, significant other is a teacher, and this holiday visiting her family O/S, and it'll be the first time for me since COVID. For any going to the game, have a great time. I'll be talking to some IT friends to see if I can get Kayo. Another fantastic weekend coming up.

We have gone from the kiddies pool to deep water. We are learning to play football in a furnace. Some accept it head on, others take time to adapt. The time to trust the playing group is now.
Harry and Martin in. Bam Bam and Hollands to rest. Cuningham back to sub.
Brisbane will have had too much time to dwell on their weaknesses, mentally fragile under real pressure. Fagan will be over reaching in the media to compensate.
They are vulnerable to a mobile fast attacking forward line.
Their forward line bar CC is more than defendable. If you think Melbs kicking for goal was bad Brisbane's is appalling.
HOWEVER if we turnover the ball over the way we did last night we will be made to pay, downhill skiing is what they do best.

Qualifying, elimination and preliminary finals all make some degree of sense. Semi finals feels like they ran out of ideas and 'semi' got the nod ahead of 'the other ones'.

Semi is half and the semi’s are played to get to the half way point of the finals series? That’s how I viewed it.
