Contested footy and KPP have won teams finals since day dot.

We will always be in with a chance if we can play our own way.

Keep them close all night then pounce in the last. We have the belief now.
Yep . Spot on. They are another team with some recent finals fade outs and brain fades. If we are close near the end they will be gettable.

I think he was fumbly but in the right positions

Im a Kemp fan but Kemp's decision making in the second half was poor

I like both but we need certainty / skills / precision ec.

Then again finals footy...
It does seem that finals pressure staring to catch up with a few.

Hoping they can shake it off for the next 2 ;)

1. Who comes in for H and Martin? Both certain starters, Voss intimated as much in the presser last night. Almost certainly for two of the forward group. Likely Kennedy and Cuningham.
I would think so yep.

2. Do we persist with two ruckmen? Another week's training could see JSOS come in to contention for Pitto against a side with one key ruckman, and TDK could be a good match for the athletic McInerney. But I feel they'll stick with the current setup, which worked well last night against Melbourne.

Can't see Pitt or TDK missing again this year. And can't see SOS playing. I don't think another week helps him much, if they didn't risk him last week when he was the exact player we needed.

3. Do we stick with the four tall backmen? Brisbane have a fleet of damaging small forwards. We might look to add another running backman. Possibly Marchbank out for Boyd or Fisher. Alternatively could throw Doc back, and bring in Hollands as the extra outside mid, but I think Boyd's the man for the job. He and Cinc to pick up Cameron and Bailey. Gov takes Rayner. Weiters and Kemp on their two talls, TDK/Pitto to drift back to help.

I still don't think we need the four tall backs. It's increasingly unlikely Gunston plays, I think Brisbane will run the same 22 as last week.

I know there are a lot of Boyd fans here, but I think it's fairly clear based on the 26 that have been at the captain's runs during finals, that Voss has his squad and doesn't want anyone who didn't play late in the season (no SOS, no Boyd etc) - so it would be Marchbank or Fisher.

I think Boyd (and SOS) are in our best 22, just not for this year's finals series.

Out. Owies Marchy Cincotta Pitto

In. Martin McKay Boyd Dow

Charlie Curnow lucky to be spared has been atrocious

Is Blake Acres in any trouble for what he did last night..?

Charlie Curnow lucky to be spared has been atrocious

This is a silly statement.
The guy was fighting with 2 hands behind his back.
He needed and needs forward support. Thankfully it will come this week.
I‘ve everything crossed we throw JSoS in there as well and give the Brisbane team a full barrel.

The best outside running teams in the competition are on the other side of the draw... Lions bolt through the corridor with power and some speed, but especially elite footskills.

Athletically the team I'm nominating goes right up against them, but perhaps lacks a little strength over the ball compared to their best stoppage combination.

I think we'd actually match them for speed almost to a man, then beat them in terms of endurance. Issue is being able to pressure their ball use enough.

I wasnt referencing your suggested INs/Outs - but now that you mention it...

I think Pittonet played his best game ever last night - thought he beat Gawn and reduced Gawn to smashing it forwards in teh second half....execution errors(skill) were obvious last night from a lot of blokes but that was true for both teams...

yes Walsh may have been the best mid last night courtesy of his 2 goals and lots of running - but that was only because Hewett and Cerra kept Petracca/Oliver/Viney under wraps...Cripsp at 80% is fine but he cant manage 80% for 4 quarters in finals pressure type games where he is being targetted....

I think we need another big body rotation added to the mix to have enough rotation and firepower to not win but dominate the ground ball game for extended periods - against Brisbane.

Cant see Owies/Motlop/Fogarty winning teh game for us against them tbh.

Unpopular but I want to see Kennedy retained. Bull of a player and kept Lever honest.
yes - but not as a permanent forward over Martin/Harry/Charlie/Motlop - Fogarty maybe...Owies lows are too low compared to his highs (IMO) but as long as he is kicking goals he stays in both Cottrell ( despite km run) and Cuningham had relatively quiet games last night...I suspect that all the players are playing very sore now...
I have no doubt Kennedy if fit would be a starting player..but Voss ( fairly IMO) is favouring continuity as much as possible...

IN: Harry, Martin
OUT: Cuningham, Kennedy
SUB: Hollands
This the consensus & most likely scenario, but I have a feeling sub may not be as obvious
