Stiff for Kemp, very unlucky.

But he has not had a great finals series and Marchbank has been excellent. Weitering, McGovern and Marchbank is enough against Brisbane where we need more pace.

Cunners and Owies have been liabilities. Some of Owies' disposals last week, and there weren't many, were awful.

I love Boyd, adds toughness and foot skills.

Love Hollands coming in. We've gotta run, run, run against the Lions
Marchbank couldn’t hit a handball 2 meters away and kept turning it over. I agree he’s gotten better but Kemp has been solid and the synergy with Weiters can’t be undermined. Remember when young was in and Weiters could not function properly with him? I have a question mark on the backline now and I hope they prove us wrong

Boyd for Cameron makes sense but big ask after long out
Surprised re Kempy and MO
Think whatever happened MO gets bCk for the granny if we get through
Big tick for Dutchy and I'd say Bam Bam is the sub to cover any health issues with the 3 big hearted guys
Forward line is as good as any, midfield top notch and our defence can square off with their forwards
Beat them and clean sweep of all contenders this year
Go Blues , win this to meet the Giants at the G next week

Hollands and Boyd add speed I guess Marchbank and Kemp was a flip of the coin no match up for both.

The sub will be interesting.

I’d say out of Kennedy/Cunners.

Given we have included speed (Boyd) & running endurance (Hollands), I would be very surprised it's not Kennedy

I hope it is Kennedy as he was still better than Cunners last week and will be improved by the game. Killed it last time he was sub

If it’s a tactical sub he will have a real impact, seems to standout when the game slows a little

Nice- I like the selections, good to see Voss has encouraged and developed a bunch of players who very few would have had as starting 22 for us this year: Boyd/Cincotta/Cottrell/Hollands/Fogarty...

I think we have them covered for total kms able to be rin if not for outright speed.

Payne out will help at tad harry and Martin in will help us a LOT.

Kemp and marchy both dropped marks last week and looked vulnerable. Neither really screamed keep me in. Dropping one sounds right. Kemp the unlucky one.

Kemp very unlucky. All 4 are really.

Incredible depth at the moment means there's some very good players sitting in the stands including our second highest goal kicker for the season.

To a point I agree...NM were the better side (which doesn't always translate to victory)

What I will say though is that IIRC, we had the same number of scoring shots as NM, and we lost Justin Murphy with a broken leg??? either just before or just after HT

With a bit of luck, the last 10-15 minutes could've been interesting

Go Blues!!!
8 more quarters!!
I was not expecting that many changes to the side tbh.
Fresh legs!!

D. Joyce interesting sub option for the Lions…. Can’t remember him playing all year ( maybe 1 or 2 games). Perhaps still leaving their defensive options open….which speaks to the concerns they have planning for our forward setup.

I like it alot! Looks like/hopefully setting up for some real line breaking speed through the middle of the ground, running in waves again and banging it in quickly to put some real heat on Lions defenders!
Let’s go boys

To me, the changes make a lot of sense for the opposition. We didn't have a good match up for Kemp, and their smalls are the danger, so Boyd comes in. With Payne out, we are trying to stretch their backline with our talls.

I really like having Dutchy in. We'll go in with four elite runners in Walsh, Hollands, Acres and Cotts. This will be huge defensively. I said early in the week that our best chance of limiting their scoring is being able to flood back quickly. We have plenty of capacity to do that.

All that said, Owies and Kemp are seriously unlucky and I'm sure this call would sting. Haven't done anything wrong.

I honestly can’t understand the changes.
Owies has been pivotal to our team and needed as a small if Harry and Martin come back in. Too slow now and not enough forward pressure.

Kemp and our backline in general have been great, dunno why they would change it up now. Boyd hasn’t played for a while and now coming in for a prelim is crazy in my eues

You are looking at our changes without considering the opposition.

Probably the fastest team we’ve named all year but too slow…!?

Cottrell will play fwd and put more pressure on the footy in a quarter than Owies would in a month.

Look at the lions side and tell me who Weitering Marchbank Kemp and McGovern play on?

One tall defender had to go - and Kemp is clearly last in line.

Lions would be quaking in their boots looking at our 22.

Some bloody hard match ups for them.

Maybe there are a couple of guys who could be considered unlucky but Owies, Kemp and Cuners were all under or non performers last weekend.

Love that young Hollands is in for a full game - he's just hungry and driven.

Boyd is as tough as they come, quick and skilful - reckon he and Zorko might clash!

One of Harry and Charlie will get off the leash on Saturday.

Nothing is surer.

Go Blues.

Boyd is an obviously in for Cameron which is the crucial match up. He was suspended not injured and has played VFL and scratch match absolutely no reason not to pick him. I love Kemp but unfortunately once the coach is forced to move Weitering onto your opponent within a half you are always at risk to get dropped.

Boyd deserves his spot he was fantastic before the suspension. So excited that Dutch has forced his way into the 22. I just love the way he plays.

I love the ruthlessness of the changes as Vossy is showing them this is not a popularity contest this about getting to a grand final!! Let’s go!!
