I really don’t mind acres’s kicking a few oof every now and then. He more than makes up for it.

Our last premiership wingman was Mil Hanna. I reckon people forget the clangers he could make. But he more than made up for it with the good stuff he did.

Acres showed today exactly why we got him. Others wouldn’t have stayed in the contest that hard or that long.

Really enjoyed the emphasis on getting TDK around the contest way more from midway through the second qtr and definitely after half time. Completely nothing deep forward and pitto was getting smashed by Marshall. TDK won the rest of the game and beat an AA candidate ruckman. Noice

Vossy said in his presser that he was about to sub Dow out when Dow kicked “that” goal. And then he couldn’t in fear of being lunched by an angry mob of Carlton fans.
So while Dow has impressed a few on here, it still seems he is not a favourite choice of our dear leader.

Would have also upset a couple of players out on the ground. Cripps serious likes him. He's a quiet unassuming character that's been putting in the hard yards in the VFL for the last couple of years. He never really got a chance under Teague and that's carried over with Vossy.

If things work out the way I hope they do, we'll give him a new contract and rotate out mids more often so that we don't have to rely on the same group all the time.

Sometimes you get to see things play out a little better at the ground than on TV. The way Newman and weiters rolled back to help and fill in space and spoil was superb. Just superb.

He essentially bemoaned the Saints list and how we had better cattle on the ground even with a third of our best out. He then picked out two poor defensive efforts from Pitto and Fish - who did do the wrong thing - rather than the multiple turnovers from Hill and Gresham.. you know members of the team that lost. Yeah, he liked Acres goal. Great.

Love Jesse Motlop; not his best game, but he always provides us spark at crucial times.

I was worried about this game, thinking that there might've been a let down after last week's win, but this group is made of sterner stuff.
