Yes, and English was on -3 at quarter time, properly reflecting his impact on the game to that point.

As for Lycett’s 11 HO, they are worth 0 points. Can’t find how many HTA he had.

Then they fudge English numbers up .

Then take the piss with extra 9 points .lol.

Took 5 off libba who was prob best on .

English should nt of been with in 20 of butters ...

I don't have any of these players .

Feeling the same, it's not about what players you do or don't have (I have Lloyd for example and Sinclair was also very well treated), more about the fact that when scores can be manipulated that much, the game becomes meaningless and disconnected from reality.

Why tune in, take an interest and barrack when the results are fixed and reality distorted? Not just occasionally, but as you say, examples nearly every game, if not all.

Of course they do it for commercial reasons, but much like their policy as a newspaper of seldom telling the truth or accurately reflecting reality, you really have to wonder if these things are actually commercially successful strategies in the long run.
With regards to the bolded - we only need to look at the player base a decade ago compared to now. Game is dying and has been slowly for years. Even this board is much quieter than when I joined BF 5 years ago (although to be fair during COVID/lockdown times when we all had nothing else to do it was vibrant)

Diehards like us who post here are the ones keeping the game going but I don't think it is wrong to say that changes to the game in recent years and the complete lack of transparency with the scoring is starting to put even the most rusted-on SCers offside

Who does O’Neil run with today. Like Laird or Dawson captain but can’t afford them to cop a tag.

Feels like Dawson more likely?

That's a tricky one, he seems to be tagging the slightly more damaging mids (Eg Anderson & Day) so probably Dawson?

Dream team used to be all the rage when I was high school and early twenties. No idea why I and a lot swapped to supercoach. It was fun for a change at first but now its a joke really. For whatever reason though, fantasy isnt really fun to go back to.

This is my point about there being trade offs with the scoring system. English had a 45 point last quarter because it was close and Lycett slowed down, allowing him to get 6 possessions, a goal and a bunch of HTAs. By the base numbers of its system, he maybe scored about 30-35, but the scaling moved it up.

It’s not a huge conspiracy, it’s just a feature of the way they score. It’s like crying “rigged” because the leader of the Coleman is only the 12th-ranked forward. No, just recognise the system and don’t pick KPFs. 🤷‍♂️

If your captain isn’t it your 18 best scorers do you get your VC score instead or does your 5th lowest score drop out and you keep the captain?

Hitouts (0 pts) =\= Hitouts to Advantage (5pts)

Of course Lycett helped Port win- I’m saying the way he did that isn’t captured by stats, and statistically Lycett had an average night.

Lice head brought English down to he's level ...that's a skill ..

Who will the hawks tag - Dunkley or Neale?
Hawthorn has conceded the fourth fewest points to mids this year. Think Nash goes to Neale, and the 'G doesn't overly suit Dunkley.

Steering clear, personally

5 in this one.

Dunkley
New recruit Neale
Ashcroft
Weddle
SMitch

Really need rookies to beat Guldens 62 and if some could outscore Lloyds 74 that would be great. 😍

Dunkley and Neale 110+ please 🙏

So true - every dubious and outright dishonest act done under the guise of protecting commercial interests, eventually add up to being what harms the sacred commercial interest the most.

Oh yeah.

Kellie underpants.

English was not close to deserving of his final score.

and i own him and VC'd him.

I did lol to myself when Libba was docked pointed and they were added to English post game.

I think they both get attention. I’ve just traded Neale in so hopefully he still finds a bit of it.

Most of hawks midfield are a decent size and strong around the contest. Won’t be easy.

Thanks I’ve got my VC on Laird, but I’ve gave my son your feedback - he still likes & have gone C Dunkley

I just said back yourself - he’s killing me anyway :drunk:
