12 trades and 75k in the bank.

Should have 25 green dots this week assuming no carnage at selection.

Apart from Wilmot and maybe seamus, I don't think any of the other rookies are trade outs this week. Plus distinct lack of bubble rookies.

Ashcroft - good matchup and BE
Weddle - trade at bye
JVR - more cash to make after his ton
Ford - trade at bye
Humpa - hold as cover
Briggs - $$$$

With 4 more upgrade required and only 12 trades, sideways premo seems a bit unrealistic. But Ziebell to Neale is obviously an option.

Other ideas?
Nice team, mate, you’re in a decent enough spot.

Firm hold (giggidy) this week and reassess at next team selection.

Unless you’re trying to get ahead in a cashie, that is? If that’s the case then you’d be best served talking to someone who’s ranked higher than 11,674 :$

Trades this week are doing my head in.

Have currently done the following
  • sheezel to Fyfe
  • baker to windy
  • long to Neale

Would leave me with 12 trades, SMitch, Weddle, Ashcroft and Fyfe/bear as F6

Improves my round 14 and 15 numbers, but I don’t love the windy and Fyfe trades.

Baker and sheezel and maxed out though and it gets me another premo.

Fyfe and windy should make money.

Other options
  • no trades, wait a week on windy but miss Fyfe
  • trade in Fyfe, SMitch or Cincotta to HH

Well given I am currently ranked 12,053, it looks like this conversation can continue then!

I’m in a similar position and am just going to hold fire this week. IMG_2339.jpeg IMG_2340.jpeg IMG_2341.jpeg

Went stupid early on with the sideways rage trades (thanks Hodor you bacon-infused hot dog eating bargearse) and am in a precarious predicament now, so my best option is to probably do nothing and hope for the best.

Although the thought of going full Tropic Thunder and bringing in all the injury prone spuds and guys with Q’s over roles like Fyfe, Yeo, Ridley and HH for the North spuds and that Atkins spud plus that Simpson spud has crossed my mind, I’d rather just try to hold trades for as long as possible.

Playing Paddy MacDaddy last season at D6 in lieu of an injured Hewett due to running out of trades early did my stack and killed my rank/enjoyment.

I don’t fancy a repeat of that again.

I also traded out Hodor, to Darcy Cameron, who quickly became Grundy and now Gawn. Yikes

Holding fire could be the best option, I’m not close enough to the top to risk it for an elite rank. My best option may be hoping everyone in front burns through their trades and I can make ground late.

Haha I unfortunately followed the same projection.

First issue is Ziebell. If you want to jump it's got to be this week really as his price is crashing.

After that maybe Mitchell/Wilmot to Maric/Gulden or Neale or Warner? Gulden probably overs at the moment though.

Or just hold I guess. Wilmot is maxxed though imo.

What to do with Chandler - no one to downgrade to and looks like losing a bit of cash. Just hold and hope for a 70 odd? 16 trades also...
An out of the box idea -
Downgrade to Maric from eagles
Yes I know it's his first game, but eagles aren't exactly brimming with options so good chance he gets a run of games
He's as cheap as you get, so make a bit of coin to upgrade another player to a SP next couple weeks
You've got a few more trades than most, so take a risk and you never know

Eagles do have the bye next week though, so factor that in

But with 8 trades left and a few upgrades to go, if you get rid of them, you might never finish your side. We have an extra round this year, you'll definitely need a few trades for the run home. You need to decide who you want to keep and commit to it.

Words of wisdom from you as usual mate.

I might just have to keep Ziebell and Sheezel.

Can either do a) the sensible thing (pictured below), fix the Ziebell/Cheezel issue, fix rd.15 in the process, do Mitchell to Mullin, Weddle to anyone next week and kinda complete, leaving enough trades to fix Briggs if need be, maybe a sneaky sideways of Dusty to Mills/Keays or similar, and a few for over 2 week LTI's or irresistible things.

Or I can b) risk the North boys (no Lloyd/Sinclair), and plan more around using mid-price loops like Himmelberg/Keays/Fyfe/Mills etc.. Got $330K and 3 trades if I don't upgrade Baker to Warner and do the Ziebell/Cheezel adjustment, so I could do something left of centre like Mitchell>Himmelberg, Baker>Keays, turn De Goey into Bont, then play loop the loop all the way home with a hopefully fat bench full of options which can collectively cover each others' dodginess.

Wilmot and Cinc are hopefully enough swing cover between them for the DEF line, Bear for MID/FWD, Ryan for a possible luxury downgrade and cover.

Leaning to option a), but b) would be an entertaining ride home!

I am just not sure I have enough trades to jump off Ziebell and complete my team. That is the dilemma. Hoping Hall is dropped and there is still life.

Mitchell/Wilmot to Maric and Neale works. Definite option but would prefer not to be bringing in rookies from R14/15

This is me trying to work out a trade this week.

hungry trading GIF

Hall named on field. That's more than enough to convince me – see you later you old campaigner
I hope you are talking about Ratten.
