We need to get a string of wins going....

Both the Hawks (especially minus Sicily) and Freo games are very winnable.

Win those two and we'll be on the cusp of the 8 again.

After that, the run home:

Port (Marvel)
West Coast (Marvel)
Pies (G)
Saints (Marvel)
Dees (G)
Gold Coast (away)
GWS (Marvel)

So, we need to win a few of the Saints, Port, Pies, Dees - go 2-2 on those 4 and win the rest?

No easy games in the big league!

Unfortunately it’s too late for us - we will need 13 wins (plus the draw) to qualify which means we would have to go 8-1 from here and we have 3 games against the top 3 teams left - plus Saints are still formidable in 5th place.

This season you need 13 wins out of 23 - extra game plus two clubs with just 3 wins between them means 12 wins out of 23 won’t be enough.

Hopefully we can make a stand and go close to the 8 and also exert some pain on other finals bound teams. But the finals dream has to wait another season.

To be honest we have botched yet another season, a season where we should be playing finals. Now a decade since we last played. I dont feel like celebrating at all, to me it's too little too late. I want success.
I understand the frustration and disappointment that you feel, at the end of the day there probably isn't one of us that isn't feeling that too. Most of us felt that we should make finals at a minimum this year and I'd think that we are all desperate to see some success. All we can do as supporters, apart from venting in places like this, is to hang in there and continue to support.

It will turn right around at some time, for now, all we have is the small wins to keep us going. I choose to celebrate them because if I don't I'd have to give it away. I hope that you and those who are feeling as you are can find a way to hang in there as well.

Would they elevate Dow?
And bring in binns or maybe fish as sub?

Think it’ll be between Binns or Dow (Kennedy moves more to HFF but not pacey) but don’t think you should bring in a debutant as the sub which may count against Paddy getting a full game.

No to Fisher, Motlop or Ed.

Cotters played really well. For some reason his field kicking has always been iffey. Yet his set-shot kicking has always been elite.

Very inconsistent with his disposal. The quick ball to boot in congestion is very annoying & inefficient.
Direct turnover & a kick to an open Jack Martin that missed the target were disappointing in the 2nd.

Fogarty? Slow as treacle. In terms of legspeed and moving the ball on. This guy was written off a few years ago. He did just okay against poor poor opposition. He's not the current answer or the future.
I wouldn't say he's slow at all, but yes, we need to recruit for this area. Lack of small fast forwards is an issue, then again Durdin usually provides that role of the smaller quicker hard tackling role.

Either way we haven't really got the forward line right. Looked good on the weekend because the feed was good and the structure was good. McKay and Curnow on the full forward playing deep where they belong, the third tall forward who is also a proper 2nd ruck playing the traditional CHF role, Martin playing well in the medium forward role. Owies and Fogarty playing the small forward role pretty well. Cuningham and Fogarty giving us midfield rotations. Dumped a few blokes who can't run for those who can. It just gave us what we needed. Fogarty is good depth for one of these roles, ability to go into the middle added to this.

Not the ones I have witnessed. In fact they have doubled down each week and suspect, they will do so after each loss
I will double down after a win. Gut the board, Gut the footy department, Gut the assistant coaches. Gut the list (10+ changes in 1 offseason). Keep the coach and CEO if he is up for it. Turbo charge reform to everything we have not changed signficantly to create a successful era. Don't get sucked in by a few wins at the end of the season. I wil take notice and credit a game plan shift if we go unbeaten and knock off Port Adelaide and even then I still want radical change in the interest of success
