Now who do I blame?? Shadow89 for not bothering to tell us, or tigs2010 for not pestering him with enough Geelong (and ex-Geelong) related questions in the pre season?

With teams out and a game played I have three red dots (Uwland, Chesser, Heath) and a stalled mid-pricer (JHF) to deal with. Wilmot's (E) allows me to eat one of those red dots so should I be looking to replace both red dots or JHF?

If I get rid of a defender I have to bring one back but I'm no longer tied to needing two in this round.

With $412k in the bank, these are some options I have:

JHF + Chesser/Uwland -> Daicos + Buckley/Bergman/Caminiti/Ryan + $10k-150k
JHF + Chesser/Uwland -> Day + Stocker + $80k
Uwland + Heath -> Day + Ryan + $41k

Or I can go with Setterfield/Ziebell but I would have to either add a defender or play Cowan

JHF + Uwland -> Setterfield + Stocker + $9k (Cowan off field)
JHF + Heath -> Setterfield + Ryan + $296k (Cowan D6)
JHF + Uwland -> Ziebell + Day + $6k (Cowan off field)
JHF + Heath -> Ziebell + Ryan + $384k (Cowan D6)
Uwland + Heath -> Ziebell + Ryan + $15k (Cowan D6)

If anyone has any intel on Jack Buckley (GWS) I'm all ears. He's floating around Stocker and Day in my spreadsheet and is $150k cheaper than Stocker (obviously not the same role and scoring but he's shown up as better value than those guys).

At this stage have done:
Flanders - Ziebell
Powell - Stocker (DPP)

Was tempted to keep Powell for one more week but didn't have any one else to trade to get Stocker in other than dumping Cumming

Picked up Setters last week and decided to keep Macrae and suffer through missing Chandler to grab two enticing mid pricers.

Anything I'm missing?

Should have listened to me and Shadow.. we were both campaigning against the campaigner

Anyway didn't we all end up agreeing that he was a hack and would be out in about round 3 when Weller and Powell were both back? Surprised so many started him as that's exactly how it looks like it's playing out

Yeah think we all predicted he wasn’t going to be around long. In the end he’s scored a pair of 80s and made $90k in 2 weeks, so I’d probably still make the same move again if I had to, given the lack of credible options we had back there going into round 1

I’ve tried to plan it out so I wouldn’t have to drop him down to a garbage rookie when his time came, so thankfully I’ve got some cash to put on top of him to get him up to someone decent.

Hopeful that's the case.
Otherwise his break even will show all year long when sorted low to high.
Would still start him again though. 84avg and $90k gained

Half a mil $$ + sitting there to add to him if he's out or emergency (might even hold if E, he'd still make money in a quarter)

Yeah it’s one of those ones where if he’s dropped right here and now, never to return, then it’s 50/50… owners are happy enough with two good scores and some cash while non-owners are happy they don’t have to muck around trying to replace him. If he lasts another week or two then different story.

The thing is I thought he was far from the worst last week (round 1 he was very ordinary) so I genuinely thought he might get another go this week but maybe Dew has other ideas

Tempted to just take Cowan or McVee's score for campaignerstable and trade Flanders to Ziebell.

Flanders is such an infuriating spud to be stuck with for another week.
