They won the coin toss and got to chose jumpers & change rooms & are also the home team.

Funny that Port and Adelaide both won the coin toss and the Crows flagged this week pre-emptively as the week to present this jumper..

I highly doubt they gave a flying f about what we'd be wearing when they chose their kit.

What a gut punch that we have to wear an away kit because Adelaide decided to wear a heritage jumper in a special round of footy at Adelaide oval. We don't half look for reasons to be slighted do we.

We should never have to wear white

Excuse my ignorance but dont all clubs have 11 home and 11 away games regardless of what happens with the coin tosses at gather round?

We still have our usual 5 interstate games apart from gather round anyway, so im struggling to see what the positive is?
You are correct.

14 teams have 11 home and 11 away games along with 1 neutral venue match (which team is listed as home and away for these sides is largely irrelevant).
2 teams have 12 home games and 11 away games.
2 teams have 11 home games and 12 away games. It's a definite disadvantage for Carlton & Doggies. And clearly avoidable by the AFL - they could have scheduled the two home teams to play each other. Didn't want to for $$$.

The draw is so uneven anyway, so we deal with it and move on, but it is slightly sucky that we are one of the two disadvantaged clubs. Then again, it's not even the worst part of our fixture (that would be the Rd 11 clash v Sydney, away on a 5-day break).

Aside from hubris, why not?
Because clubs change their jumpers which creates a clash with ours.
There never used to be a clash with Melbourne, Port, Freo, West Coast, Adelaide. If they want to changes their jumpers fine, but they shouldn't be allowed to wear it when it creates a clash with us. Let those campaigners wear white.

So, hurbis then.

Fwiw we normally wear white anyway when playing Adelaide (and they wear their clash jumper when playing in Melbourne v us) so their jumper swap doesn't actually change anything.

White is just the worst colour to wear for a clash outfit. Too much white in other clubs' kits already. Would even prefer that horrible yellow kit we had to white (and no, I don't really want that back).

we usually play 22 games + 1 bye = 23 rounds

This year 23 games + 1 bye round = 24 rounds?

We do, but it's unnecessary. We don't clash with red and yellow hoops.
I'd probably agree with that but they really seem to have loosened the tolerance for clash jumpers these days. We didn't used to but they do now.

As it were, the complaining about the jumper swap causing us to wear white is moot, they've just chosen a different jumper and it's changed 0 for us as we'd be wearing white either way.

Except that it's all Navy now, which is our colour.

As it's a heritage jumper for them it's there's too. They've always had majority navy on their jumper.

Ports still black and white, with a sliver of teal, Collingwoods colours (and even try to steal their jersey)

The Suns are mostly Red, which is Sydneys Colour

There's only so many colours to go round.

The only team that probably doesn't share a colour is Hawthorn, because who wants to be sh** coloured.

I’m colour blind so I like that clash jumpers exist. The shading between two similar colours can be a nightmare from a telling them apart perspective.

But like Arrow says, they could be wearing potato sacks for all I really care. I just want them to win.
