This says Cotts won the time trial. Does anyone know when that was, and how other CFC players went...?
I believe this was at the start of pre season. I heard Ollie Hollands say Cottrell did something like a 5.40 time over 2km which is lightning. Not sure how others fared as it wasn’t publicised by the club.

Nobody as we don't have a spot.
We really should have a couple of prospective's training with us. For when the 'now expected' long-term-injury strikes us down.
Love to be proven wrong, but I'm not confident that all of Gov, Cunners, Marchy and Philp will be playing after the bye.

Absolutely! We haven't had a complete list to select from since early 1996. With a record like that, somebody should be smart enough to hang around and impress!

Let's not go overboard here: the draft combine record is 5:25, and someone like Craig Mottram probably ran 5:00-5:05 on grass, and despite having one of the top 10 track runs of all time - which is worth a watch if you've never seen it (even better in person, as was the 5000m final) - was still at his peak 5-10s off world record pace on any given day.

It's a solid time as he's ticking over the legs, and largely translates in his gameplay, but I'd question if he's even top 5 in the league at the run despite having a history in track and field.

Players looking good but some seem to have leaned up a tad too much. Might be the photos but 2 x Curnow look to have bulked down a bit.
always the way
bulk load of workload in possible heat.....no chance to hold onto too much at times..
actually a good sign....carry the basal fitness into the season, with a bit of a taper at times, this is the reset for most of them
easy to bulk up quick in colder weather[diet/gym/load}

Harry was big enough in 2022 imo. He needs to heed what Time Hawkins has done to stay fit. TH is a much lighter and nimbler version of what he was 6-7 years ago

His continued work with "the speed project" in the off season means his straight line speed has improved year on year.

Not sure what it means for his agility.

Interesting, but I'd think during the season with game and recoup players tend to lose weight/muscle (unless you're The Package).

Looks like there was some type of match simulation with top ups from the VFL.

I'm pretty sure that's Ben Ronke in the background, so it appears we may have signed him.

LOB looked really disappointed with that rock, paper scissors loss, then everyone went nuts with whoever won it (Carroll?).
Would be interesting to know what it was about. Can only imagine that they were raffling off the other wing spot next to Acres :tearsofjoy:
