On what metrics? I'd have roughly 10 clubs bigger than you in this season alone.

Average attendances, budget, recent PL experience, etc.

A club like Blackburn would be historically much bigger, but at the moment? Not so sure.

Average attendance you're 12th. Capacity percentage you're 14th.

Base salary for your squad ranks 12th.

This is your 8th season out of the PL so not sure recent counts all that much. Ten clubs in the Championship have played in the Premier League more recently (Leeds/Luton/Burnley/Sheffield United/Watford/Norwich/West Brom/Cardiff/Stoke/Swansea). Sunderland were relegated the same year as you. Huddersfield also played more recently but they're in League One.

It's really hard to gauge with moving parameters but I do think it's hard to argue you're a top 10 club in the Championship. Certainly not a giant of it.

How'd you find that when we don't release our accounts until Feb?

No one said we were currently a giant? Wasn't the whole point of Upstart's post that we were't?

Was only going off base salary but I presume that's public knowledge before Feb?

I don't think you ever were. He said fallen giant. But I also disagree with your premise that you're one of the bigger Championship clubs.

Lol that site looks like a good laugh. Not accurate in the slightest.

Belloumi supposedly on 7k a week is hilarious.

You've done an awful lot of research to disprove what was a throwaway line lol.

'Fallen giants' was tongue in cheek. Just meant the last couple of seasons both clubs were playing well with a decent shot at promotion. Now we're not.

Both with pretty ambitious owners too.

Plymouth now 23rd. Surely that's it for Rooney's coaching career in England.
It'd be harsh to sack him after playing pretty well away to the top side. Next game is Middlesbrough, another tough one, but after that it's games against fellow strugglers Coventry, Oxford, Stoke and QPR. If they don't get a few wins from that lot then he's probably gone.

QPR are unbeaten in 6 games, don't think they're necessarily the struggling team they were earlier.

Burstow with a cracking winner for us chef

Off the bottom and out of the relegation zone for Christmas feels good.

Meanwhile Coventry get hammered 4-1 by third from the bottom Portsmouth. Mark Robins' sacking and Lampard's appointment didn't go down well with the fans, so this will just make the anger worse.

I know Hull keeper stuffed one up as well but Meslier was at fault for first two goals. Second goal terrible, ball was going over the bar and he pushed it back in front of goal? That will squash any rumours that PL clubs are interested

Pickford-esque.

Not sure he's at fault for the first goal, that's just a brilliant ball and finish.

He was at fault for the 3rd too, comes to try punch the corner and was miles from it putting himself out of position and then can’t stop an average shot straight down the middle.
Will be interesting to see what happens in January cause he’s literally costing us games/points pretty regularly now.

Average shot down the middle? It was a first time volley from the edge of the box into the corner.

Strange copium.
