A slow start to the season (6 defeats in first 12 games) has probably cost Karlsruher a chance of promotion back to the top flight, with eight games to go they need to bridge a 6pt gap between themselves and Hamburger SV. Not out of the question, but they need a lot of things to go their way.

At the bottom of the 2. Bundesliga are a couple of former top clubs that are in danger of dropping to the third tier, Kaiserslautern find themselves in the relegation zone and Schalke are just 1 point above the relegation zone. It will a tough couple of months for their fans.

Could be the one of the biggest games ever in Hamburg this week.

Both teams with a huge amount to play for, a win for St Pauli nearly guarantees promotion and Hamburg need to win just to stay in the hunt
Looking forward to it, enjoy watching the Aussie lads at St Pauli.

Holstein Kiel up for first time ever and St Pauli back up for first time in 12 years. Hoping Düsseldorf can cause a huge upset and win the playoff against third last in Bundesliga..doubt it will happen

Good start to the season for Karlsruher SC, they are undefeated after their first five games, winning four.

Karlsruher defeated Sshalke 2-0 last night at the Wildpark to currently sit on top, meanwhile Germany's second largest club (based on memberships) is struggling near the bottom of the table after gaining just a single point from their last four games.
