FCS Semis set for next sunday morning.
South Dakota State @ North Dakota State 4AM
South Dakota @ Montana State 7AM
The Dakotas are in there as always. Anyone know why they dominate well, and for as long as they have? Money? Bigger school? Recruits chasing successful programs, thus always topping them up?

The day the Heisman became more about off field campaigns then what a player did on field.

I may have had issues with past winners but those were all deserving even if someone like Luck, Love, Lawrence or McCaffrey didnt win. This is more farcical then most of the recent Brownlow winners.

stable structure and building a good program so people want to go there. Big sky and Missouri valley are the 2 best FCS conferences.

Montana State smashed Idaho yesterday. the same Idaho who gave the Ducks issues. Ducks play Montana St week 1 next season but Montana state have a bunch of kids who are in their final season so doubtful they will be as good, but feel they could be a FBS threat if they ever move up just like the Dakota's. NDSU should of knocked off Colorado week 1 but were hosed by the refs and were not the team they are now.

All the awards are a joke after hunter won a heap he didn’t deserve especially heisman.

I been say all week the only snap stat that should matter for hunter is

0 snaps played in title or college championship playoff cos they didn’t make any even with him and hunter being top 10 heisman vote getters.

Is basically become a popularity contest not the best player.

More upset hunter won

Bednarik Award for best defensive player - his not even a top 5 corner in college let alone best player

Biletnikoff award for best pass catcher he isn’t anywhere near a top 5 wr in college football let alone the best . He got most of his yards and tds late and in junk time.

I saw a tweet that ESPN ran an 11 min clip of the hisiman and it was all Hunter.

At least we saw the fix was in weeks ago. I wonder how many voted as soon as they opened after thanksgiving. But also way too many got sucked into the media hype or built it up themselves and are to blame for this being decided off field. Because on field nobody had done more the Jeanty this season

All awards are popularity contests. You could argue Jeanty is in a pissweak conference that his team wins almost every year.
It's impossible to say who's the best in college football because most of these players don't play each other.

Name a great hunter performance against a good school you can’t ?

Jeanty only rushed for 200+ yards 3 tds against no 1 team in country in Oregon.

Boise are only a playoff team because of Jeanty. Hunter i not the best WR or best CB in the nation.

Boise had the better strength of record and both had strength of schedule in the 70s.

Jeanty had 1900yds after contact [250yds more then the total yds of the 2nd best RB] and over 130 broken tackles let alone all the tackles that he made miss that didnt even make contact. like his 75yd run Vs UNLV lastweek untouched but juked about 3 tackles. and his crazy 9yds per carry vs a 8+ man box and 7yds per rush vs 7 man box.

in 5 years his season will be looked at as an all time great.
Hunter's wont be remembered other then he played a bunch of snaps on both sides. Last year Hunter was a CB who played some WR, this year Deion turned him into a WR who played CB and force fed him. He will likely now be drafted as a WR and i thought he was a better NFL prospect at CB. I dont think he is a NFL #1 WR

Were would you rank Hunter as a pure cb and pure WR in this coming draft class.

I struggle to get him in top 5 WR - MacMillian, Burden, Egbuka, Bond, Harris all ahead of him for me.
For corner likely have him 3rd behind Johnson and Morrison (if morrison health checks out) and just ahead of Revel.

Entering the year i would of had him top CB, now 3rd of 4th. WR i would have him outside the top 5. but the NFL will draft him as the 2nd WR.

I wouldnt draft him as WR, but at CB i would think about it but need pro day and workouts to sell me. size worries me at both. I just dont think he is good enough to be a NFL 1 WR, you could always scheme him open like a Rams/9ers but those guys are not top 5 picks. If you are needing that stuff at top 5 its not going to end well.

Where's he realistically going in the draft? No NFL side is likely to have him play on both sides and if he's not brilliant as either position...

Some stupid team will draft him in top 5 looking at you patriots or jaguars when realistically he should be draft in back end of the first round.

These kids dont get it. Its not about football. Transfer portal is around the academic calendar.

Also about 1/3 of transfers are now repeat transfers which seems kinda silly when 99% never make it to the NFL and are possibly f**king up their chance at a free education and build networks for jobs. hard to do that when bouncing from school to school

I read there's a 2nd portal period in April. But that wouln't help these players trying to learn a new playbook in only a few months instead of 9 or so.

The portal only shuts for those not in bowl or playoff games. Players who are still going beyond the portal closing have 5 days after their season ends to enter the portal. The issue is waiting and then potentially missing out on a good school to go to.

there is a 10 day window in April. just like there is a 10 day portal if a coaching change is made
